I am busy putting a new project together and want to get some info from you guys on whether you are into extreme sports and if so which 1.

Tell me things like:
Skill level
Info you would like to see on the web
Favoutrite places to surf , bungee etc
Service and availability of suppliers and equipment
Any other info you can think of will be a gr8 help, esp if you have access to some form of business or information source that could become a sponsor or branding partner.

All of this will be used to determine the aim and content of the portal that I will be launching in the near future.

Thanks in advance.

Personally I am into traction kiting with the aim of learning to kitesurf.
Equipment is expensive and there are not enough places to sources second hand rigs...

Im sorry, but being in dubai has cause me to lose touch. I am currently windsurfing (does that qualify?)

I fly parachute kites often, but have never tried kitesurfing, as I dont have my own kite, and getting one is too expensive :/

and next year im off to kenya for a week of river kayaking (lots rapids, yeah!) and mountain biking, its about 30km trekking a day, so will be a great test.

If you want a hand with the site i will gladly lend my services ( not that im much good.. :/ bleh)

But I will get in toch with some mates at home and see if they can get some info for you.

Anything that can ramp 20m off the crest of a wave is extreme, maybe a more accurate description would be extreme/unusual.

Thanks for the info ... If anyone has links to other xtreme sports sites please post them for me. This way I can see what is available and find niches in the market.

Bungee is getting a bit old now, I think its on the way out

Skydiving is awesome, downhill mountain biking also very kewl.

Scuba diving is also great but no longer extreme unless you going to be doing some technical stuff

O and lets not forget extreme ironing tongue.gif

I live in PTA!!

My one friend also mentioned something about a club near them, about 20km out on the Witbank hi-way, but if you've got the name & contact info of a club i'll go have a look...

Thanx...
