Hey guys!
Ok so i recently joined this site and i have a few questions to debate about on my golf mk2 gti. Basically i have a 1992 metalic blue 1800 8v gti and i just overhauled the motor...with quite a few goodies added to it biggrin.gif i left the block standard but i had the motor converted to an mp9 injection because i heard that the kjet tronic system was a limiting factor in what i wanted to do. I have a 276 cam with gas flow and ported head with a vernier gear and an mp9 intake and throttle body to go with the mp9 head. A brospeed branch and freeflow exhaust with an induction kit was also fitted to the combo. im properly running the motor in but am alwayls thinking how much power will i have?? Im hoping something over 100kw and i hope the torque is arouns 200nm but does anyone know of someone whose done these mods and more or less how much power they had?

I Have a 2007 citi1.8i, I Get 90Kw 162nm ATF except i have a 272 cam, No gas flow and no vernier (She's still stock), i recon your 100Kw is highly possible and i'd guess around 180-190nm...

Me wonders why RK hasn't responded...

Not really true. K-Jetronic motors can make oodles of more power than some FI motors. The problem with K-Jetronic is A: Finding a mechanic who knows how to tune it properly B.) Finding spares, when things like the warm up regulator and parts of the vacuuam system start to go - you gotta scramble to find replacements ASAP.

With the above mods and the headwork I think you'll be getting around that power figure. Possible a little more.
Where was the work done?

Get them to dyno the car after the motor is run in.

They will need to A c/o check and maybe tweak the timing a bit.

What type of branch did you go with?
4-2-1? Good for low down torque and all-round performance.
4-1? Good for top end speeds.

Just had a few mates read this link and they reckon the car should be making about 100KW @ the flywheel.

Nice strong car you have there, must pull really well.
