So after buying my new car I am suddenly finding myself re-assesing my current expenses to see where I could save any spare $$ here and there.

My insurance was taken car of this morning.

Now my sights are on my Medical Aid. I am currenty with Discovery and would be interested to see if I could get the same or better cover with another Medical Aid for a bit less.

I am currently on their Classic Core plan and pay around R1k.

So which package/Medical Aid are you guys with?

Next on my list is my data contract... sure I am being shnaai'd there too!

Lol, I'm on GEMS Medical Aid which is for Government Employees, so I don't think I can help you much.

Although, if anyone knows anyone working in the health department that wants to join GEMS, say NO.

I'm on discovery. Can't remember which one it is exactly. I just pay it every month. Around R1200. Thinking of changing my household insurance etc... though.

I'm on Spectramed, with an adult dependent. The second highest package... I'm paying R2800 for mine a feking big unnecessary bill IMHO but I guess it's more benefical for my mom tho.

Medical Aid, Insurance and Bank Charges are major grudge expenses for me too...

But I am trying to get the best deals I can.

I refuse to compromise my Health so I will more than likely stay with Discovery in the end, but it doesn't hurt to shop around

I am on Discovery classic priority i think, the fee is something like R1800 but the company pays part of it.
Here at work we can choose Discovery or Sizwe, people are talking good about Sizwe and its apparently half the price.
