Thanks. I have been using 2.4 for the last couple of months at home, and it does what it is supposed to do: it works and doesnt cost 2K+.

He was referring to Microsoft Office I think

Yes, M$ Office Pro is over 2K, which is pointless for home use i am sorry to say. All i need to do at home is create some documents and be able to open some, the rest i can do at the office. So OpenOffice really does suit me needs very well.

And i am really looking forward to the 2007 office document support.

With openoffice out there, why do people still buy ms office? Lack of knolige?
russell
A combination of lack of knowledge, salesmen who push MS Office and general distrust of anything free sad.gif

Office might be a hog, but when it comes down to sheer functionality/capability, it is still up there. Then again, you have to know how to use it, which most people don't.
