I recently bought the Nokia 5310 with the intention of using it as a dual purpose phone and mp3 player. I did not see the need to have two seperate units when one would suffice, and so far (about 2 months down the line) I must say that I couldn't be happier. The next logical step in making my phone a full on mp3 player was a good set of headphones.

Now, luckily the 5310 comes with a 3.5mm jack, so no need to get specific equipment which is a massive plus, I have no less than three sets of headphones lying around my house that have model specific jacks, which all are now redundant! Finally someone noticed that we want flexability!

So out I went, into the wide world of the interweb, searching for headphones...
Weeks later (or was it minutes? Google has confused me so....) I discovered that despite searching for non-Nokia products, one of the most talked about sets of headphones online in the past month has been the BH-503, a set of bluetooth headphones that double as a headset as they have a microphone installed. So out the window were my questions about cable length or jack size, bluetooth fits all!

So, after much online and in store comparisons, I decided on the BH-503, not only because its good, but because the black and red model just looks sweet!

It uses the wrap around style, so no worries about looking like a child of the 80's, but the phones themselves are a little chunky, so if you have sensative ears I would try a pair out for a while first to make sure they dont get sore quickly. Personally I found them very comfortable, and man the sound quality is way above what I expected. I had read reviews that the bass was good and the treble was decent, but puting a good dance track on and it was like having a 16'' sub in my ear. Well, maybe Im exaggerating, but the sound quality is fantastic!

Super super loud is all I can say, I turned the phone up to around half volume, and with the headphones on top volume my ears were hurting, so Im not even going to attempt putting the phones volume higher!

Call quality is great as well, the microphone picks up everything without a problem, and makes talking and driving easier than ever, without looking like some Dr Spoc wannabe.

Overall, an excellent buy, now just to test out the battery life, which they claim is around 13 hours of listening, we will see!

Hehe, I have the blue version of this phone 5310i Xpressmusic, excellent little phone and the blue tooth headset is also excellent.

Play back quality is crystal clear.

I don't use it much coz my GPS has a blue tooth car kit built in, but when I go to gym I will use the headset.

The phone is small, compact and thin, so it's easy to carry, wieghs almost nothing aswell.

about the only thing it lacks is a flash for the camera... but that's not really a big issue.
