Meet Juno (Ellen Page), an 'individual' kid who happens to get knocked up by her best friend Bleeker (Michael Cera) cos you know, they got bored and decided to have sex and all that.

Juno isn't phased by this and just goes for abortion but the fact that her little fetus has nails scares her off and make her go for the next best thing...an ad in the papers for abortion!

So she finds nice adoptive parents (Jennifer Garner & Jason Bateman) and just waits for the baby to pop out.

Along the way she finds comfort and a nice chat with her baby's future father (who actually has cold feet), delivers a baby and discovers what the meaning of love is.

All in all, it might feel as if the movie tries too hard to set itself apart with its lead character (as in, Juno is too witty, too sarcastic, too trendy) but I didn't have any problem with it (aside from the phonecall to her best friend about the glorious news and sometimes the intercut every 5 minutes with some music)

9/10, Ellen Page is cute and charming and Michael Cera is gold (he should be in more movies) plus the ending is just sad and yet nice.

One of the best dialogue movies in years.

I agree with JuCa though, Page comes across a bit too strong in the beginning: she's almost disingenuous in her sarcasm and wit, especially for a high school kid. Later on, however, it becomes more believable and makes for some really clever and fresh exchanges. I still reckon someone like Christina Ricci could've done a better job but it all still works in the end.

The film is very similar to 'Superbad' and 'Knocked Up' in terms of the realism and honesty of the situations they portray, so if you enjoyed them you'll no doubt dig 'Juno.'

Yeah but I mean come on, she is crying in the end with her newfound love (which was always really there) holding her. How sweet is that sad.gif

The ending was a bit obvious, but I guess you need something cheerful after all the crap that happens.

Is it a spoiler?

Its just a touching scene in my books, then again I am a sucker for stuff like this.
