What classes do you use for which maps ?

I am still busy with various challenges so I pretty am sticking to a particular weapon till i am done with the challenge for that weapon, however I do change to other classes when I need to play seriously.

i.e.

Shipment

shotgun, deep impact, .45, claymores.
although a silenced uzi on this map works very well and sometimes the claymores take a little too long to plant and I get shot

backlot

m4 with red dot sight, claymores, steady aim

bloc

I like the m16 with red dot
45.
claymores and deep impact

My tactic on this map, if not playing in hardcore, is to plant the claymores around 2 strategic corners. fire off a couple of rounds and run and hide nearby. people WILL come along to investigate , and when they do, BOOM!

Crossfire

I use a ghost class
all weapons silenced
mp5 and 45
uav jammer

I will use the dead silence perk when I get it soon

On this map the idea is to keep moving from room to room and stay out of line of site for snipers etc

people like to hide in some of the rooms and snipe so silence is critical, you can also save a lot of ammo by knifing snipers who dont hear you coming.

Other indoor maps i like the silenced uzi and last stand or martydom.

whats your game plan, tactics and classes?

Fishfly
I lost all my classess so I had to restart sad.gif only on lvl 20 atm...

I must say sniper is a nice class for almost type/maps, except for Headquarters.

TeamDM I tend to use the M16 with reddot scope and 3x grenade. with stead hands...

Carrots
I have been playing some team dm 2v2 and 3v3, and I like the red dot m4 for most maps. I am only on lvl 14 now, so I dont have all the toys to play with.
m4 has range, accuracy, full auto and low recoil. An all-rounder in my mind.
I take stopping power and the one which gives you better accuracy when shooting from the hip, since it really helps a lot on close range.
Fishfly
the only thing that grates me about the M16 is the crappy continously tripple tap... kinda hard when trying to shoot accurately.
hunter
silenced mp5
uav jammer
dead silence

I use that on all maps, except shipment and wetworks which I skip tongue.gif

Stealthy play works great on the bigger maps especially overgrown, bloc
Even the smaller more intense ones liek crash/crossife its great since people always go for a specific spot.

Vacant is another map I struggle with, Ill just grab an M4 for that with stopping power and deep impact
Fishfly
I like the shotgun for shipment biggrin.gif

then I switched to some heavy duty rifle... not a good idea as you tend to run slower and rate of fire justs gives you away sad.gif
Paul
i just got the overkill perk and am trying 2 heavy weapons.

Fishfly
what lvl you on paul? you paly on the sgs server?

I'm usually on the Multi and Maxi servers after 10
Paul
39 after just 5 weeks

I only play at work on the lan
Valheru
Question: is this an online game only? I looked at some screenies and it looks very cool.
Paul
not at all

it has an awesome single player side to it and it can be played on a network

Fishfly
Single Player = somewhat ok... similar to most FPS...

Sometimes I feel this is starting to replace CSS w00t.gif but then you get people that think this is CSS and they jump around like monkies biggrin.gif

Man had a mean session of Shipment last nite, 24 ppl in that map it was carnage, spawn rifle.gif you death.gif

it's crazy.gif

There's something I wanted to ask tho, you have your different resolutions in the game and things that you can turn on etc... does lowering your details of the world actually help you? or running full features turn on is the best?

Paul
I think full detail is best

it helps you see the difference between a helmet and a mound of rubble
Fishfly
hehehe sometimes I tend to start shooting at the stupid rubble biggrin.gif

but I think lower latency would help my cause...
