The assassination of Jesse James, starring Brad Pitt, Sam Rockwell and Casey Affleck (amongst others of course).
It was a dreamlike movie, soundtrack by Nick Cave (!), excellent performances by Brad, Casey & Sam (amongst others once again) and just such a relaxing pace (which in its turn might be a turnoff for some) which is rare to see these days.
It just a beauty to behold and not your typical Western which features lots of shooting etc.
In this, it tells the tale of the notorious Jesse James and how his once 'fan' Robert Ford turns into his eventual death. It also shows the aftermath which Robert and his brother have to face as Jesse James was sort of an American Icon at that time.
Casey Affleck got two great roles in 2007 (this and Gone Baby Gone) and I actually like him a lot. He has this different way of acting, speaking and presenting himself on the screen (almost feels pathetic as Robert Ford, even after striking).
It just difficult to explain how it makes you feel but a definite recommended movie.
9/10.
Minus for the sometimes 'focus' vision which can be distracting.
