I am sad to see that 4 out of 5 posts is nothing but spam

All we seem to get is LOLZ, ROTFLS and other dumb replies.

No more debates, no more meaningful conversations.

Here is an example:

An advanced image manipulation software like photoshop or Imageready WILL FUCKING INDEED crop an image, yet the question, "will it crop an image ?" was posted.

I am getting mighty tired of the spam, if the attack shop players really enjoy the game that much, they need to control the spam as much as the staff or I will remove the game, end of story.

so its up to all of you, when new people join, why dont you help them out with a fair warning and encourage them not to spam?

If the spam continues, I will remove the game.

Why remove the Game Paul? the 4 of out of 5 messages come from specific members (and a limtied number of), its not everyone that plays attackshop that spams the fuck out of everything...

I noticed after not being on V9 for a while and coming back on that a lot of spam was indeed posted... which irritated the hell out of me because i use a data card with a small bandwith and use it downloading threads with such posts, but wondered why the members had no warnings and posts were not deleted by the moderators and admins...

I'm not gonna say i'm not entirely guilt free cause i have had my fair share of spam and so have all members and even the mods and admins alike.

Consistent application of the board rules to members who join early on (and appropriate warnings/banning), should prevent it...

maybe even a thread showing users who were banned and the reasons to deter offenders?

I've maintained that we remove the game for ages. Forum used to run fine without it.

Either way, rest assured that spam is going to be dealt with via severe beatings from the Banstick in future.

Rough, I still think that the game(s) should only become available after a person has upgraded their rank to a set point.

Although, even that would leave things wide open for spam and abuse.

I think the idea of reaching a certain posting level before the attack game is a great idea! I'm also sick of deleting all these stupid posts about Sexx0r toys and PMS plugs and what not...

I really think the game should be removed, it just feels to me that it has taken the focus from posting relevant posts, and I think its a kak game anyway

It used to be that only Seniors (100+ posts) and above had access.

Maybe we set it back to that and see what happens?

what's to stop people spamming to get to 100+ posts? perhaps we disable people, and once they prove they don't spam, then they can have access to the game? I am with Rusty however that we just get rid of the game.

as for disabling can't you disable for people who haven't reached elite status? or something?

It seems a bit harsh to disable non elite members. Maybe anyone that hasn't reached senior? And have all posts approved up to that point. That way maybe the spammers will be weeded out of the game.

It didn't have to be Elite, it was just a suggestion I'm not 100% sure of the structures so I was giving a example

We've tried everything and the game has been nothing but trouble.

We will look at adding a completely new game sometime in the future but for now it stays disabled.

mayhaps something that isn't linked to posts/post count etc.

I think that is what contributed to the problems.

Spammers upping their posts for gil etc.

I have something ridiculous like 11/12 000 000 000 000 gil last time I checked the bank, and that was just from the 12% interest, couldn't give enough away or spend enough.

You're already lucky to have that much gils. The thing is no bank offers 12% interest in only 1 day! More like a year.

No. This discussion has been had over and over and every time we're lenient it gets abused.

Game stays disabled until we think of another plan.

With all due respect it took a long time for obvious gil spammers like Bone to get banned. To be honest we all knew by week 1 he had no hope. So at that time mod preview and revoking of post count. (set limit @ 300 to use atk) would have solved that problem of abuse.

Thats all that really needs to be done

300. That would be a long time for newbies to achieve that rank. I think 100 should be the post amount.



And maybe it should be a 1 day trial for new joiners so if they want to continue playing they should post more and be active on this forum

atkshop is the battlefield. You can attack people and gain levels there, don't forget about the money
