I enjoyed the 1st cod, tried to get into the 2nd one but just couldnt get the ball rolling.

And now theres cod 4

Yeah its an incredible multiplayer game, Ireally love that they went the modern warfare route, WW2 fps games are over done now

For me the best setup is MP5 + Silencer + UAV Jammer + Dead Silence, nothing more fun than running behind the enemy and picking them off one by one with them never knowing what hit them

My fave game mode is Domination

COD4 and UT3 has been the revolution to newage gaming

I love the sniper could never really kill anything except with a sniper

Try playing online with a PS3 they had so many problems with their network when I was playing online. You wouldn't be able to connect, matchmaking was ridiculous for lag and you can not create you own ranked game to host locally without a bit of luck.

That said, if you do manage to get into a local game with no lag, it is awesome. Haven't played in a while though, too busy jamming Army Of Two

Online has been a blast since Jan with the PS3 here, a couple of times been stuck on downloading settings, but other than that its been all good.

My biggest gripe is the damn host leaving match mess, but migration is in the patch thats undergoing cert at Sony

awesome multiplayer game. the actual game ended kinda crap. was a bit of a let down in that sense, otherwise I really enjoyed the multiplayer part of the game.

really? I loved the single player campaign. I have replayed it sooo many times that I have lost count

they could also have made it so that you progressed through the ranks and had to lead a team at some stage...?

It took me over 12 tries to get past the ferris wheel... with the second hardest setting

Single player is great, but joining the multiplayer late kinda sucked for me. I have the crappy guns and everyone else has nice guns :-(

That ferris wheel stage was lank hard on higher difficulty. I jumped into one of those tiny ticket booths and ducked in the corner, popping any guy that ran past the door and enjoying the immunity to grenades

Ending was lame though, I was hoping for something a bit more spectacular.

Haven't played in a while hunter so I wouldn't know if they have resolved the issues. But wow, it was one of the most frustrating things when it first came out to play a game.

Of about 3 hours sitting in front of the tv, only maybe 1hr would be game play the rest would be finding games then host ending then being kicked out the network just drama

Aaah.. The PS3 seems to be the problem :-p

OK, so I gave the game another go against less skilled players. Because we were only 4 we had to play the free for all modes. Its great fun! Cant wait to play one of the team modes.

The reason for only the 4 players is that I play on jawug. COD4 is still catching on, and not everyone has capable hardware.
Being able to play at native res on a 22" with surround sound gives you quite an advantage :-p

I had swapped my sidearm for one of the mp5's of one of the guys I shot, I laid the place silly with claymores then took up a post by my Captain and just plowed the cars till they exploded and threw grenades about like a mad thing until help arrived.

I feel carrots' pain because everyone in the office started playing back in december when I didnt have a machine with a gfx card that could run it, so I started coupla weeks back and am waaaay behind with cool weapons.

But as long as I have last stand, my knife, my m16 with rocket launcher I am cool.
