Oh my fuck I just had this mailed to me thumbdown.gif

What the hell is this no roll cage on a 20Valve turbo MK1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That chassis is gonna twist till it snaps crazy.gif

17's On an MK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! crazy.gif unless they've done some heavy mods this is crazzzzzzzzzy

Anyone who buys the car is dead death.gif death.gif death.gif death.gif

The only notable changes are the rear disks and new clutch kit setup safety wise

I dono where thing comes from looks like a car of the showroom floor and 0km's on the clock
notice there's no red lining on the upper front grill yet the lower one has red (I smell an R-Line fake)
Also the rear is debadged.... I dont think this car is VW factory spec banned.gif
Probably some extreme version of the 2lt raceline offered by Linsay Saker boksburg and Kempton park with only the warranty from Steves Autoclinic.... some pimped version of the Velo /Rox1.6i

Anyone know anything about these things? seems absolutely ludacris.... where do they come from?

VW Motorsport has made quite a few of them. Show/special order vehicles.
Usually cost well over R200k. They run the older S3 motors with the S3 ecu.

They were called Stealthbombers when they were originally released a few years ago.

The front brakes are usually VR6 spec (280/288mm discs and matching calipers).

This particular car has an original R-Line bodykit, velo interior and possibly rear disc brakes (the rear disc brakes would be a dumb idea on a MK1 IMHO).

There was a discussion about this exact car on the vwclub BB.

Zubair in the VW Club has one, before he bought it, it belonged to Moe276 on the same BB.
It's badged as a 1.4i .Com and it's white in color.

Can sort out many an unsuspecting M3.

They run really well and are great cars... in the hands of an experienced driver...

Fortunately the MK1 chassis is very strong (There are lots of local Citi's that make well in excess of 300KW's with no problems) no modifications are really reguired to the chassis.

I know a guy who works up the road from my new office who drives a 320KW MK1 "Deco" as his daily driver.
Think he's running a turbo'd Audi motor in the deco shell.

Also no roll cage in that.

The main problem with these big power cars has been severe torque steer, the car generally pull to the left so the drivers need to be on their toes to catch them before there's a problem.

My car has a little bit of torque steer with the 2L engine, but nothing close to what these cars will have, Hehe.

But my view on paying R200k for citi golf with this much power and no airbags is the same as yours. It's insane.

But don't get me started...

Dude This thing madness....

I'll be honest I have the 1.8i (for the unfamiliar its the 1.8iR with the standard bumpers and and no side sills)

I can comfortably cope with it here torque steer, etc is managable or i've learnt to manage it over time
Uitenhage.com from the VW Club BB makes 73KW ATW at reef level to give the readers some indication...

i took mine down to durbs in December
Took me about three days to get used to the power gain at sea level thumbdown.gif for the first day i dint drive her much but wen i did almost every time i did a wheel spin taking off... I eventually got used to it and eased off the gas...
I also had the torque steer catch me off guard on the same trip and yip you have to be on your toes wen you driving... up here in jhb she's fine or maybe i'm a better driver then i was before...

Anyways an experienced driver may be able to handle that 200kw monster but the target boy racers out there probably wont...

Thank goodness this is not gonna be a production car

Amen to that.

I'd buy it just for the torque steer :-D

I drove Zubairs 20vT before he bought it from Moe276.

The cars are INSANELY powerful!

But loads of fun to drive at the same time.

Uprated (S3 spec brake setup) brakes mean the car is more than safe to drive for an experienced driver.

I wouldn't want to see the general public getting into these though

191KW/ 380nm Trust me the thing MOVES also comes standard with Bose, zenons, auto windscreen wipers etc. etc. etc. fully deck'd with only option of metallic paint at R750 and cheaper than most of the other hot hatches. build quality was also really surprisingly good

I hope they stiffened the suspension quite a bit from the normal 3. The normal 3 is a tad loose in the arse if you ask me.

I'm gonna need to look into this Mazda. Hehe.

W@RP@T}{
Eibach as standard

Also has a limited slip diff to combat the torque steer so you don't spin away all the power on a mad outsite tyre tongue.gif

6-speed box that is prob the best i've used, has a stiff click into the gates.

Go test drive one, i'm still serious about getting rid of my Polo TDI and Audi S6 to drive one
