So the company I work for normally have our year-end function in February. We had ours last week. My boss has never been one to hand out lavish gifts, we normally just get a pat on the back and all the whiskey we can drink, and a promise of a raise in the near future.

This year, I got an iPod Touch 16GB!!!! I am a bit of a sceptic, so I smell a rat, but I don't care really, this thing is so sexy I can't see that any bad news will take the smile off my face

Anybody else out there got one yet? I have googled a bit and I see you can "hack" it and install more apps etc. I want to try it but I'm scared I may end up with a very sleek and sexy paperweight.

I almost bought one recently, but yeah, a tad pricey, so I settled for the 80 GB iPod Classic instead.

Apple Touch is nice and pretty, work collegue has one... but biggest grip at the moment even if you were to pay for the software/updates/etc Apple will not accept your CC... reason? we live in South Africa and we are all frauders! or so they claim regarding our CC

The functionality is pretty but I suggest you use that touch for a mere MP3 player until Apple will finally recognise SA... or they setup store here.

As for the "Hack" I haven't actually played with it yet so I can't comment on that. I do know if you do it incorrectly you will brick your iphone.

Um I'm still waiting to see what the catch is gonna be, I'm starting to think there ain't gonna be one. I got a very nice increase two weeks after that as well. Maybe there is no catch? Lol, I'm still quite shocked, and yes it's not the iPhone, but the iPod Touch
