So I was minding my own business in MS Word when I happened to open the Visual Basic editor thingy. I had a couple clicks around to see what it wa all about, closed it and carried on working.

I closed Word a while later and when I opened it again I saw the VB editor with the error message: Compile Error: Expected End Sub.

When I click 'OK' it crashes the program, and I just keep getting the message every time I run it. Now my damn Word is effectively useless sad.gif

Any ideas?

unistall, reinstall sad.gif

or run a detect and repair. Essentially the same as an uninstall - reinstall, but slightly different. might do the trick though.
RustPuppet
Detect and repair from where?
cyfermaster
you can do it from add/remove programs or open Outlook or excel and click on Help->Detect and Repair.

No good unfortunately, I'm on Mac.

Copied the Word folder across the network from another machine and did an overwrite of the current files, fixed it no prob and still kept my settings.

Shot for the help though dudes.

All newer versions of Word come with a VB editor for macros.

Running on a Mac OS? If that is the case, it might explain why the VB script messed word up...

I think all versions of Word come with a VB editor... well, from 2000 on....
RustPuppet
No no, you guys misunderstand: I'm running Office for Mac, it's designed for OS X.

I find my Office suite runs fine on my Mac Fishy, no issues thus far apart from the VB thing (which was my fault).

The new Office 2008 looks better then the Windows equivalent tongue.gif
