Let me repeat that same question with more detail ..

I need to get my hands on a cheap admin-type PC but i need 3 monitors

get yourself and agp card that has vga/dvi (2 outputs atleast) and a pci graphics card. sorted.

Or just buy two el cheapo PCI-E cards with dual DVI outputs.

Do you think this would work ? (cos i have frankly no idea)

i've done it in the past, does work. or do as rustpuppet says, then you get 4 monitors.

interestingly enough, you could use http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ to extend your desktop across multiple pc's. i'm currently doing that, and it works quite well.

Thanks for the tip, but im afraid that this is not what i would be needing ...

All of my PCs are working on independant bases and need to be controlled on independant bases as welll wink.gif
