How about a bike ?

NOt just A bike, no, The Acabion GTBO !

Why in heavens name would i be looking at the Acabion you ask ?

Get this

750Bhp and the speed is LIMITED to only 570 km/hour !!!!

You have fast and you have extremely fast.

I've never been on the N1 at that speed ... maybe we should give it a try ?

That is, if you have 2.7 million US dollar to spare ... cos that is the price

f#$k thats not fast thats insane... considering that the speed of sound is "only" 1230 KM/Hour...

You've gotta be the worlds biggest ass to move that fast on a bike on SA's roads IMHO......

Just a thought 570KM/hour on the N1 = dead, splat on the crash barriers (like the bugs on your windscreen wen you driving to durbs, thats the first thing that pops into my head)

I doubt its controllable at this speed.... (which is probably why they dont show the thing going around corners....)

on the other hand I wonder if the speeding camera's could snap you at that speed... Hehe if you did get caught(assuming they managed to catch you) you could probably plead insanity and get away with it....

I am skeptical about this, not sure how they can:
* turn out 750bhp from a 1340cc engine
* claim those acceleration times (0 - 100mph in 1.7s....wtf?)
* claim those fuel usage figures

I smell bullshit. Somebody around there should stop taking drugs.

Reasons:
* The highest BHP i have seen on a dyno from a motorcycle engine is in excess of 350, after which the rear wheel started spinning on the roller (yes, it has that much power).
* I doubt that they will achieve those figures, you will pass out at the g forces from accelerating that fast, and honestly, it sounds ridiculous.
* If you consider driving at 250mph and the amount of engine power it uses, no way i think you will achieve the claimed 25mpg.

I haven't seen this thing in real life, just thought it was a cool thing

They claim it is build on a Hayabusa-bike with turbo and that ... isn't new

Check Youtube for movies about turbo-charged bikes

Seeing is believing they say ... just look at the incredible power of these things

The 350+ one i saw on the Dyno was a 'busa turbo. Theoretically it should be making about 400, as standard production figures are close to 200. But this one had the cat removed, CDI remapped as well as TRE installed. Probably some engine work too.

I just find it difficult to believe they can crank 750 from that engine (even after a big bore conversion, which makes it a 1500), as well as reaching that level of acceleration.

It will be one mean machine if it can be confirmed, which i will wait for.

Interesting fact, it is theoretically possible:

Veyron:
The latest Bugatti special edition has 1001hp and weighs 1888kg, resulting in 530 hp per tonne
0 - 100 mph: 5.7s

This thing:
750hp (claimed) and weighs 700lbs (claimed) (318 kg), resulting in 2350 hp per tonne
0 - 100 mph: 1.7s (claimed)
0 - 100 mph: ~1.3s (theoretical)
