So after 4 years with the Corsa, I decided it's time for an upgrade. So I went on Saturday and got one of these:

Getting the 120d with M sport pack and some other bits and pieces. I can expect to drive it end of March <3
So, anyone want a Corsa?

Those 120d's are sweet rides. More than enough power and lots of extras as standard.
Nice.
I went from a Corsa to a Polo (now on my 2nd).

Here's the price break down. It was hard for me to get any details on this car, so maybe this will make it easier for anyone else that is interested;
Base Price: R283000 Metallic Paint: R1800 Leather Seats: R10800 BMW Professional Radio: R3700 Logic 7 Speaker System: R8900 M Sport package: R20000 Advantage pack with M Sport pack: R0
The M sport package is; Sport seats, Aluminium trim finishes, Front fog lamps, M Sport suspension, M Leather steering wheel, M Aerodynamic kit, Satin chrome, Anthracite roof lining. It also includes 17" rims for R0.
Then you have to slap on the advantage pack when taking the M Sport pack; Front armrest, Storage compartment package, Air Conditioning.
Total Cost: R330400
The Corsa I have is a 2004 1.8 GSi. Not to be mistaken with the old shape 1.6 GSi. Most people I know thought it was a 1.6 because the previous one was. It's going in for it's 60000km service on Monday.

nice car, you getting it in red?
docmoo
Jan 22 2008, 09:14 AM
yeah, Sedona Red.
I've spec'd it to look like the one in the promotional material I just don't have 400k to spend on a spec'd 135
The car is amazing. Just busy getting things sorted now with it (tracker etc.) but I'm settled into it and totally happy with the purchase

wow that really took long did you finance only get approved now? you buy the car on a loan? Interest rate is a killer lately
docmoo

took long to get the car into the country 3-6month wait depending on the dealer and timing of your order
finance was approved a day after I applied for it, traded the corsa in and am paying the difference
the rims are the m sport ones that come with the body kit. really happy with how the whole car turned out look wise

ya it's seksi... got more specs on the engine etc? I'm too lazy to visit bmw site

Engine is 2l diesel. 135kw and 370nm of torque. The engine has changed from the one that is spec'd on the BMW website from what the dealer told me.
Consumption is looking good too, done about 800km and filled up once - just depends on how I drive it, but the avg is saying 8.4l/100km, so 51l tank = 607km/tank hopefully

You will find after around 4000 KM's the consumption gets a little better
Damn I miss my 5L/100KM's of the polo TDI Audi averages between 20-->26L/100 :o :o
Maybe I should drive my polo again instead

hehe i get +-650km's to a tank on my 1.8i citi... under normal driving conditions, i fill up usually between 41lt and 43lt a shot after taking that measurement... hehe I awaits RURO's green face.... LOL JJ
I used to get 550km's on the first 4000km's or so. guess its just "run in" friction...
