Soon (lets hope that is ... deliveries aren't THAT to be honnest ...) we will be receiving our first batch of the brand new KHET laser game.

KHET is like a combination of chess, stratego and a table top laser shooting game.
The goal is to kill all of your opponents pieces by shooting at it with a laser beam !
The players can guide the laser over the board by placing beamsplitters and deflective mirrors all over the place.

Nerds and Geeks (and me, because lasers are cool) will just love this modern concept of a boardgame

It received an "Honour for Excellence" by the Mensa IQ society ... so it must be good

Now, in order to formulate a real-life opinion (my opinion can never be objective since im selling it) we are looking for a tester.

Somebody to set it up, read the rules, play the game, take some pictures and make a nice little report here !

The major questions i would like to see answered are

1) How does it present, the box, the boardgame, the pieces, etc etc etc ... (does it look WAAW, or does it look like some piece of cheap Chinese crap)
2) The makers of the game clame that the rules are easy and that you are launched in a matter of minutes .. is that so ?
3) What do you think about the gameplay ? is it revolutionary or is it just one of those strategos in a different colour ?
4) How long does it take to play an average game ?
5) How long will you play with this game before you put it in a cupboard, somewhere under your nannies panties ..
6) Would YOU buy the game if you saw it in the store ?

Obviously, personal opinions and stats are much appreciated as well and will only add to the quality of the review you will be making.

I will not have THAT much stock to start with .. so one will be posted to a tester-member of Vault9, the other one will be posted to a member of Intelligence Publishing in the hope that they will publish a small word about the game

If there's one person who I can imagine getting the proper use out of such a game, it's RevQ.

I assume that SAPO doesn't do overnight delivery or i should take Counter-to-Counter or so ..

RevQ noted, but its also usefull to get the opinion from somebody with absolutely no skills what so ever ... so that we know if the game will scare new players away or not

Well, run it by multiple people then, I'm sure we can share to get a range of views. That or give it to someone with "no skills" although I doubt you'll get people going "pick me, pick me - I don't know what I'm doing." Everyone who volunteered will have skills in this kind of game, otherwise they wouldn't have volunteered.

With skills i mean "intelligence and/or education"

now I read the whole thread. haha. I do have an education though. and some form of intelligence, however for the purpose of testing. I have neither.

I*'m a huge lover of board games, of which Risk is my all time favorite along with Cluedo

I could - otherwise - put some other boardgames in circulation as well ... to start some form of "review rotation"
