I saw a video of Chuck Norris reading Chuck Norris jokes while laughing and though he was cool with it.
Apparently not.
He has sued anumber of institutions; mainly for copyright infringement and a couple instances of libel and slander saying the "facts" are not facts.
Various T shirt websites have received Cease and Desist letters too for selling Chuck related material

Well, the book and site are making money from his name.
If someone made a drawing from a photo of me, put it on a shirt and made money from it, I would want a piece of the action, whether I agree with the context of that drawing or not.

on an off topic note, the biggest paradox of our time are the countless of T shirts sold with Che Geuvarra's face on them.
