I am always looking for a decent "FREE" WYSIWYG html editor. I have been using FCK Editor for quite some time now, simply because it is technology independent, in other words I can use it in most server side scripting languages. I mainly use WYSIWYG editors in an Intranet environment where users add content from MS Word Documents, which can be messy with Word HTML. FCK Editor cleans up the html, RTE does not dry.gif. The only cool thing with RTE is the code highlighting, something FCK Editor does not do.
RTE . RTE can only be used in .NET off course

This is RTE:

I've recently made the switch from FCK to TinyMCE myself.

I tested Tiny MCE with some pasted content from word and it completely strips the Word formatting. Only <p></p> elements which is cool. And it uses <span style="color: #ff6600;"> tags to format the text, instead of the old <font> tags. I think FCK Editor reverted to <font> tags. Cool biggrin.gif

Dont worry Nukes.

Ive only ever used FCK editor, and its ok, not too bad. Just do yourself a favour and if you ever have to insert any code at all into it, DONT, it mangles everything sad.gif
