that front grill looks similar to that of an audi dry.gif

I find a lot of the newer VW cars are looking more and more like audi...

Nice,

But somehow it just doesn;t seem to fit... seems like they have tried to take a normal car and go completely banzai and turn it into some weird racing thing

Not to say that i wouldn't mind having it drool.gif

Racing buckets FTW

Lawsuit anyone?
naughty
whoa whoa - back up a second and slam on the brakes here

THAT IS NOT THE GTI-R THAT IS BEING LAUNCHED IN NOVEMBER

that what you see pictured above is the R-GTI which is a concept car

the GTI-R that is being launched will probably look more like a normal GTI with a slightly different body kit and a slightly more powerful motor - likely to be rated at 166kw since thats what VW ups your ecu maps when you pay them R10k now on the normal 147kw GTI

actually you should expect that design cue sharing between audi and VW as well as Porsche/SEAT/Lamborghini and bugatti since all of those are owned by Volkswagen AG holdings - a lot of audi's are currently moving on slightly modified VW engines for example the engine in the new S3 is a modified 2,0 FSI turbo with a stronger crankshaft and pistons and a slightly modified cylinder head and valves with also slightly stronger pistons - and Audi is also using the 3,2 liter VR6 motor that is completely a VW design

I realise that. I don't know if you saw one of the recent episodes of Top Gear. They had a bastardised Golf GTI. Basically took parts from Audi, Lamborghina and Bentley - stuck them all together and voila 0-100 in 3.5s madness from a Golf 5
RustPuppet
Well they are labeled 'concept' at the bottom of the photos wink.gif

As for the discussion on car company ownership: clicky
