ShockTillYouDrop.com talked with producer David Kirschner, the man behind the horror franchise based around the killer doll Chucky, and he told them about the plans to remake the original Child's Play as well as some of the ideas being bounced around with original writer Don Mancini.
Can this be said enough: Hollywood is out of ideas.
There are certain movies that don't have to be remade, and this, is one of them.

I didn't like the original either. It just wasn't as cool as a Nightmare on Elm Street.

The original was good. Then Hollywood had to start ruining everything by making sequel after sequel to it. Now they want to do a remake? Why ruin it? I guess there are no creative minds left in Hollywood.

The first Childs play freaked me out like crazy
They got more and more stupid after that though, the last one (bride of chuck?) was a complete joke

Bride of Chucky wasn't the last one. They made another one called Seed of Chucky or Son of Chucky or something like that. It was pretty stupid too.
