What do you guys make of all the hectic storm warnings today?

But forecaster Mark Todd said the Weather Service had not issued a tornado warning.

Todd said there was a risk one or two thunderstorms may become severe, but there was no guarantee they would be thunderstorms.

Apparently there'll just be some thunderstorms then. Although the clouds are getting pretty damn dark here in Sandton

I can see the sun from where I am. Thunderstorms indeed. although.... it is meant to get bad around 6pm...

the weather guys are getting a bit funny nowadays - they were warning about some heavy swells in the coastal areas - like the last ones during the eclipse and they even started laying sandbags across the beach - but the sea didnt get anywhere near as rough or maybe some of their precautions prevented any major damage - all i know is that warnings were issued and nothing happened

had a little shower here in the south, but now it's just a bit cold - nothing bad though.

our electric fence did get struck by lightning though, at least it sounded like it. hehe. ACTION PACKED I TELL YOU.

I laughed as everyone at my client ran home at about 3:30.

Then by the time I left at 5pm. All the roads in Fourways were empty.

Took me exactly 3 minutes to get home.

What a dream! I was hitting around 160KMPH on a nice open and empty Wittkoppen Road!

We should have fake weather scares more often!

I really enjoyed Brisbane when I was there. Rained for a few days when I was there. Can imagine what havoc storms there would cause. Welcome to the forum.
