Hi all,

I am trying to figure would how to change the way my users log into their Vista machines.

I would ideally like to scrap the welcome screen and let the users see just the normal login prompt window.

You could do it easily in XP but I can't seem to find the same thing in Vista.

Does anyone know how to do it?

Many thanks.

Have a look under Windows Settings / Security Settings / Local Policies / Security Options.

Change the policy there and you're good to go smile.gif

Thanks mate.

I'll have a look

This is done from the Local Security Policy tab right?

Under Interactive login?
RustPuppet
Quite possibly. I'm on XP still so can't clarify smile.gif

Thanks mate,

I found this about the welcome screen and Vista.

Looks like it can't be switched off sad.gif

RustPuppet
Apparently you can if you use that policy thing.

Give it a whirl?
