Right, another round of bitching for me. Both are big middle fingers to our incompetent police force.
Firstly, my mom was mugger INSIDE Pick 'n Pay on Saturday. The bastards jacked her bag, phone and purse in the middle of her grocery shopping. There was bugger-all security present and the scum got away without hassle. It took hours for the police to respond so it's damn fortunate it was a mugging and not a bloody gang rape.
Second, my roommate gets a gun stuck in his face yesterday for interrupting a hijacking. He saw a guy leaning into the window of another dude's bakkie which was blocking the driveway to the complex he was visiting, and when he called out he window for the guy to move he turned around with a damn gun in his hand.
Fortunately he quickly reversed away and went off to find a cop. He returned minutes later and the useless bloody cops let the criminals escape. They didn't even bother to chase them either.
I know this country has gone completely to shit, what with men raping infants and people being tortured in their own homes, but can we not even do our shopping in peace, or pull into our 'secure' complexes without watching our backs?

(Fortunately there was power in Sandton when I trekked all the way back there from home so I stopped at the KFC on Grayston. The split second I paid the lady for my chow the power went off, so everyone else behind me in the queue had to leave empty handed. Chowed my KFC in darkness and laughed at all the fools trying to get food from the drive-thru next to me.)
These clowns need to get this shit sorted soon, people are going to riot one of these days.

I think they doing the load shedding so they can get everything sorted for 2010. It is however extremely annoying. I am just waiting for people to start taking eskom to court for loss of income etc...

Apart from blatant greed and corruption, what other reason is there to have FIVE speedtraps along one stretch of highway? Almost every weekend (especially Sundays) when traveling from Fourways to Edenvale via the N1/N3 I see at least five of the fuckers hiding in the bushes between the two sides. Granted there are usually only a couple each side, but even passing three going one way is bloody ridiculous.
If I get three R200 fines instead of one will I be three times less likely to speed? I think not. Will I be fucked off and made to drive like an angry nutter after getting three fines in one go? Quite likely.
For some reason I'm like a damn cop magnet too: every one I pass decides I need to be pulled over. Bleh.

LOL. I have NEVER been pulled over in my life. I have never been asked for my liscence. I got my first and only speeding fine last year. I have had my liscence for 9 years in december. (only had my own car for 3 of those, but still drove occasionally for the other 6)
