So I get this panic stricken phone call from my sister.

She's hysterical.

I can't calm her down.

The reason?

5 men were gang raping a woman in the house next to the nursery school where my sister works and everyone including the children could hear the screaming and shouting from the house next door.

They phoned the police after getting the children locked and hidden in the school.

My first reaction was to go home and get the gun before racing to her work in the 2L.

But she said that the police were already there.

Doesn't help that poor woman who had just been gang raped though!

For F#ck Sake!!!!

Why is this kind of thing STILL happening?!

Why is the government STILL not doing anything?!

Why should we STILL have to live with this kind of thing as a daily reality?!

Then I read on the VW Club Forum this afternoon that a mate of mine has been robbed - house cleaned out.
Luckily no one was home/hurt - but is that really the point?

F#ck this country! F#ck this Government!

I am shipping my sister to New Zealand as soon as I can. I will not have her in this country another month!

Goddammit!
Pisces797
Unfortunately, crap like that is hapening al over the world. I think it's still the same old thing, try to cover it up and if people don't really know about it then it's not really happening. It's a bunch of bull, but it happens.
rurounikenshin
You're right ofcourse.

But I would rather she be in New Zealand with my parents than in this country.

I know every country has it's problems - but they still don't have problems like this country does.

There is a unique kind of hell reserved for the criminals who've plagued the South African Citizens.
RustPuppet
As said above, there is NO crime like SA crime.

rurouni, I'm damn impressed you didn't head over there with your gun, God knows I would've.

I know it sounds perverse to say it but the sad thing I'm actually slightly happy that it's not a toddler or an elderly woman they're raping this time.

Fuckers.
Fishfly
happy? you have to be happy that you not gang raped in this feking day and age!

and yet again I have to re-iterate that feking minister of health and safety telling us to fek off...

Just this morning I had this thought come to my mind... should anything happen to any of my family and friedn I would start taking out each feking minister/government official responsible for our safety... mother feker!

oh btw for anyone's information that story about the girl being raped at Chris Hani hospital... according to her classmates she was GANG RAPED not just RAPED! for fek sakes!
rurounikenshin
Dude, if I had gone there, I would be in jail for multiple counts of murder now.

But there would be 5 less house robbers and rapists in this world.
rurounikenshin
I am so will you Fishfly!

I some times wish there would be a coup that would topple the ANC because they are f#cking raping this country with their refusal to acknowledge that there is a problem.

Maybe that would be the only way something would be done?

If I was ever put in charge of this country in a totally hypotheitcal sense now of course.

I'd make the biggest statement by doign two things.

1.) Have every single rapist, murderer, child molester hung on one day.
2.) Stripping criminals of their rights - as far as I am concerned, if you've raped, robbed or murdered some one - you've willingly thrown your civil rights away.

It would be a statement to send shivers down the spines of every criminal or would be criminal in the country.

And maybe then, the rest of us tax paying, law abiding crime victims would feel some sense of justice.
RustPuppet
I say we turn them into pet food and alleviate the SPCA's problems.

Oh, and you can also continue bitching here if you want.
rurounikenshin
Thanks mate! Good thread!
Pisces797
I definately agree with everyone about this. I would have been going over there myself to take care of it...one way or another.
hunter
you know what bugs me the most about this shit, apart from the crime itself...

its ppl saying oh luckily you were not hurt, WTF!!! lucky nothing, you should not have had to be in that situation in the first place! then the fuckers who do get caught go to prison and have more fucking rights than the vicitm. BULLSHIT

IMO government should have to take care of EVERY victim of crime instead of the criminals, execute the stupid fucks that commit the crime and use the money that would have fed and clothed these scumbags to pay for the victims medical bills, day to day living expenses etc. Imagine how quick they would start working on the crime issue if they realised how much they would have to pay for the victims and not that new bmw or R70 million wall
Pisces797
That's a bunch of bull. No matter what someone is hurt. It's not always physical hurt, it could be emotional or mental. Someone always pays for what's done to them.

If you are not making plans to leave this country then you are doing yourself an injustice.

On Thursday, a 27-year old woman up the road from me was stabbed 19 times in her own home while nursing her two month old baby. She was then bludgeoned to death with a blunt object.

If you can read a bar graph then you know our crime stats are way out of sync with global norms.

If you think it won't happen to you or your loved ones then you are a fool.

If you think things will get better then you are living in denial.

Rurounikenshin, hope all goes well with your plans and your sister can join you in NZ.

Yeah, yestrday I had to hear from a close friend how she was hijacked on Friday. "Luckily", even though they kidnapped her for a short while, she was not raped or beaten, but fuck, what about the emotional scarring. This kind of stuff really hits you when you hear it has happened to someone close to you.

I take it that is the story that made the headlines last week? How disgusting that those animals could do that right in front of her little baby.

The problem with this fuckign country is that the goons who run it live behind high-rise, electrical security, whereas the normal man on the street does not have such luxuries. Oh, and lets not forget the armoured vehicles and bodyguards that these goons also have.

Then we have a worthless president, who has the NERVER to say that crime is NOT out of control. Start reading the papers, Thabo, and see for yourself. But hey, why waste money trying to solve the crime problem, since you can use that money on another jet, and your deputy and co can take family and friends on expensive holidays, all at the tax payer's expense.

My sister has told me that she is movign to New Zealand as early as January next year.
Thank god I say!

She'll be safe® there.

Unfortunatley, rumor has it that New Zealand isn't the safest place either
Paul
compared to Johannesburg ???

Listen, Johannesburg is the only city in the world where you have to work in at least 2 muggings into your monthly budget.
flaco46
I agree with having much stiffer punishment for crimes. If you commit murder, rape or sell drugs to kids you should be put down as soon as you are declared guilty.
Paul
problem is that the government declares that stiff punishment is against constitutional rights, although more than 80% of the country want the death penalty reinstated

the argument is that the death penalty again, is against a person's constitutional rights.

My argument is that you should lose all your rights if you rape or murder.

as I have said before, its against my consitututional rights to tlive in a country where criminals are protected and I have to live in fear

its a never ending circle

Well who ever you heard this rumor from is wrong...

My parents ahve been there for over a year and haven't seen anything other than maybe some graffiti and a drunk man being arrested by the ever present police.

Compared to South Africa, ANYTHING is safer.

The only place that comes close to S.A. is maybe the Favalas in Brazil.
And given the size of Brazil I am not suprised - but the point that I am making is that South Africa is no where near that size... what does that say?

We have less than maybe a 3rd of the population that Brazil does and yet we're on par with them for crime?!

Wake up and read the statistics people - South Africa is going one way and it isn't up.

Zimbabwe - here we come.

This has really been a crap week...

Yesterday some scumbag walked into my clients offices.

Picked up a laptop and walked out with it.

Just like that.

FFS!

I am busy setting up the replacement and getting more and more pissed off as I think about it.

I wish I could've caught the scumbag!

cyfermaster
on the bright side... at least it is clean now. sad.gif am I too much of an optimist. I think so. sad.gif

This country is on a moral downward spiral. That was an insanely messed up situation. But in todays society crap like that goes unpunished. I would think there should be a blood hunt called on every rapist, pedofile, anyone who beats their wife or children and the such. Kill em! And the world would be a much better place. It's about time that people stop being afraid of being violated or abused, and those who would commit these crimes should be scared to death of the thought of commiting these crimes.

Playtime is over scumbags!

Where is batman when you need him?
Gitano
Im taking a break ok. Seriously guys, even superhero's need a holiday.
perry10
I believe you, like I said, just a rumor. and yes, anywhere is more safe than South Africa
