As above, what do you guys use to clean Notebook screens?

The Notebooks at my client are filthy.

I try to clean them as much as I can when I am working on them.

just be sure not to let it run under the edges, this can destroy the display but i find it to be a much better solution than R98743 for 10ml of specialised fluid

surgical alcohol it dries as soon as it touches the surface so no change of it leaving a lasting drip

You can get screen wipes. Just don't know where from.

You can buy the overpriced wipes from Incredible Corruption or just use benzine/meths and save a few bucks.

I'll give the windowlene a shot first.

I was going to try some Clean Green but was worried it might damage the LCD surface.

whoa - dont use anything like windowlene or clean green or meths etc - lcds are not flat like glass - when that stuff gets into those nooks and crannies you are out one screen

for LCD screens you are supposed to use just plain water - or a proportion of 5% rubbing alcohol and dilute that with 95% water - or you can find a solution that gives you a cleaning pad for around R45

yar no, that's why i made sure i said you must make sure not to let it run anywhere. i saw a pic somewhere of a guy who used windowlene on his lcd tv and once it had seeped into the join between the frame and the display area, it ran back up the screen and burnt it

Just go to office depot and get the screen cleaning kit

I got Aidata Cleaning Wipes, works like a dream: smudges, finger grease and all that crap is like instantly wiped away. 100 wipes is around R40. A good buy!
