Hi all just a warning

if your contact sends you messages such as these:



Don't click on the link... or even continue with the chat... it's a virus that has been spreading around skype as of this morning.
I responded in the chat and it buggered up my skype...


what happens when you get infected?

Your skype status will be set to "Not Available" and the skype window will disappear

Resolution:
What I have found is in your Task Manager, under processes it addes an entry: WNDRIVS.EXE
That file is no where in your folders etc...

To fix this you will need to:
1. Open up Task Manager -> Process
2. End Task anything that says: wndrivs32
3. Click START -> RUN
4. Type Regedit
5. Search for any entry thta says: mshtmldat32
6. Delete all entries in your registry
7. Then go to your system folder and delete any file called mshtmldat32.exe
8. Finally go to your Host file usually: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
9. Delete all the entry in the host file and add back 127.0.0.1 localhost.

It wasn't all bad though, first skype message you've sent to me in months

I got one of those two, however instincts prevailed and i saved and shut down.

You always say everyone ignores you. Just more proof that it is your skype and msn that is BROKEN.

I must of not read this thread. I reinstalled it and it works perfectly fine.
