Tentatively set to be on shelves on 23rd of October, but who knows!
Heard the first single from the album on the radio here yesterday, its called Fake it, and its unmistakably Seether, but still great
Im not really bothered that its nothing new and experimental or anything, because I like their music already!

Looking forward to this one
Clouded in sadness though, the album is RIP Eugene
Have heard Fake it, and as you say Git, it's very much in their normal style, which I'm also happy with

INHO Karma and effect was a bit of a disappointment though
Fake it is a decent song i think, interesting to see what else they have got in store

Eugene? Man I must be out of touch, was he a member of the band?

Eugene is Shaun's brother - the best groupie ever! (not like THAT!)
The story is that he got up and jumped out of the 8th storey window It's all unclear though. He really wasn't that type of person though. I thought they might even delay the album as it happened a few weeks ago.

Woah.
I never knew, I hope that they don't, but it would be perfectly understandable if they did choose to do so

Duh, I read about that, never took note of his name though Quite sad I know, poor guy.
Well, the first song seems to be within a few days of the original schedule, so there is hope.

Karma was crap, as was One Cold Night.
I'll definitely be giving this one a good listen before wasting my cash.

You're not enough of a fan-boi Rusty... I'll be paying BEFORE I hear it

So, verdicts?
I'm satisfied... but it's not really GREAT. I thought more of K&E.

Not bad. Welgemoed is still stealing way too much from Kobain but he seems to have established that as his style.
There were some improvements on the lyrics on a few songs which redeemed the shitty ones on the previous album, but then there are a couple disastrous ones here too. Seriously, we're over the teen angst.
Overall it's a mixed bag for me: the album feels like it would fit in perfectly had it been released a few years ago, and could've been revolutionary had it come out during the grunge heyday, but for now it's just a clone of the genre's bunch of mediocre albums doing the rounds at the moment.
6/10.

I've listened to their previous albums a lot just before getting the new one, so when I got it it just sounded like more of the same. It is VERY much the same as the previous stuff, but I still like it.
Rust's score is pretty accurate I think.

It has come to the point where I dislike hearing Fake It on radio. I also heard Fine Again yesterday. Their old stuff is just SO much better.
