Beowulf is a 2007 fantasy film directed by Robert Zemeckis. The film is an adaptation of the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf and was made using a special technique of digitally enhanced live action. Beowulf will be released on November 16, 2007 and stars Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn, Dominic Keating, Alison Lohman, John Malkovich, Crispin Glover, Brendan Gleeson and Angelina Jolie.
Looks cool, about time Zemeckis is doing another big budget project. Check out the normal trailer here, or the R-rated trailer here.

Story was average. Attention to detail was brilliant.
7/10 - coulda been 8/10 had they shown some Angelina nipples.

Story was great... No bullshit.
I really didn't like the animation. If it was all done without animation I would definately rate it much higher. The animation made the people all look emotionless, and the horses looked REALLY weird when running.
The one plus point of the animation - the dragon! Really nice.
Overall though, about 6.5.

I enjoyed it.
My gf didn't like the CGI at all though.
Most people had the same gripe as they were leaving the cinema.
I though it rocked though.

Also caught this over the weekend, not too shabby.
I agree with the animation look though, it killed the facial movements of the characters. I reckon a '300' type treatment would've rocked.
Otherwise it was a cool story, if not a bit linear. I give it 7/10.

I went to see it a couple weeks ago when it first came out.
My husband and I both thought it was was good. 8/10
We're just wondering if they're going to try to make a sequel out of it because of the way it ended.

Haven't seen it yet. Did it follow the original story pretty well or was it another Hollywood thinks it would be better this way type of movie?

I thought it was good. Like most others, I didn't really care for the CGI. I wanted to watch CGI for 2+ hours, I would have played a FF game. The dragon looked great though.
