I don't think a disable is required either, people who spam should just have there gil removed to quote the regulations

It's not just the spam control that's an issue, it's the large number of members that just register to play AtkShop.

It'd be interesting to see how many people stick around if we disabled it for a bit.

Most members are only here for the arcade and i thnk that should be tackled before you think about this

a difference is that members that play the arcade do not simply spam to play. they just play. But we could always disable them both. the point of this thread though, is regarding atkshop.

You've missed the point of us wanting to disable AtkShop: as cyfer said, the problem lies with people spamming for gil.

Guidelines are in place for this, can't they just be enforced. Believe me wiping out people's gil will hit harder than warn levels for example.

They can, but we're not exactly paving the way forward for the forum by encouraging spammers and freeloaders.

It's also seems fairly pointless/counter-productive to me considering the anti-spam measures we already have in place.

And sure, lets have you as the official spam detector, so you can spend 24 hours a day online looking for spam posts to delete. The staff members have lives too, we dont want to spend all day deleting crap, we are here for exactly the same reason as you, to enjoy the forums.

We have enough staff. The workload is handled fine at the moment. The problem would be if we turned the spam filters off. That would be quite hectic to cope with.

No one directly suggested turning the filters off, but might as well have considering all the people supporting the arcade and AtkShop.

I seem to remember far less issues when we never had the 'extras' to begin with.

Why don't you pm the users that "JUST" Play Atk Shop and tell them hey have to post
