Gameplay:
QUOTE(wikipedia)
Need for Speed: ProStreet will take the Need for Speed series in a new direction. Instead of an arcade style of gameplay which has dominated the series, ProStreet will focus much more on realism and move closer to racing simulation, but still with the option to use driving assistants to make driving much easier. Unlike its predecessors, all racing in ProStreet will take place on closed tracks, thus making it the first game in the series not animating illegal racing behaviour, hence there will not be any cops in the game. Performance tuning will take up a large part of gameplay in a way that even a small adjustment of the shape of a car's body will impact its performance. Autosculpt is back from Carbon, but with much greater detail. According to an EA employee, there will be thousands of aftermarket upgrades, visual and performance, from real performance brands

Pros:
  • Alot more car manufacturers contributing. Such as Bmw (not just the m3 but z and 5 series too), Diahutsu and SsangYong
  • Closed circuit tracks meaning no more trafic and street obsticles to deal with.
  • Advanced Auto-Sculpt so uniqueness will go one step further perfect that ride.
  • New visaul tweaks such as window sculpting and wheel balancing will be introduced.
  • Hundreds of new aftermarket parts and stock availabilities.
  • Advanced Graphics and superior gameplay.
Cons
  • Since game is centred on legal racing there will eb no more cops or Cross
  • Alot of popular cars will be lost (No more Carrera Gt or Mazdaspeeds)
  • Awkward storyline which has yet to be released
  • No more going rogue and hitting the pavement. Dent your ride could be u total it and demands a new buy.
Rumor:

Suvs might be coming back, returning with the Hummers, Escalades and Mazda 5

My views:

I am intregued by this new style of gameplay. No more street racing is a bit of a let down, i prefered the whole cop bashing, spike strips dodging and hide-out. But all good things must come to an end im afraid sad.gif . Im not sure if there will even be a free roam anymore, its all select a race and do it, but thats my thought. Hope i am proven wrong biggrin.gif

Ill load up system requires asap

Looks nice.

But judging from the last release in the series, this wont run on just any machine.

I'm not feeling this with much entuiasm, having cop chases and street racing was what makes NFS good. Removimg that aspect and trying to make in a Gran Turismo wanna-be is just going to ruin the whole thing.

They better not make the customization bit the same as Carbon though (4 body kits only!) Where as NFSU:2 had like 30!

THis is something i;m not interestedc in

The Audi RS4 is in smile.gif

I'll get it just to race my baby
LegendofMax
Ye there is going to be over 25 new body kits all usuable for auto-sculpt

Off topic on Carbon: I found that on the nfs website you can buy car models online and install them into your game (for the rich that smoke R100 bills) kinda gay

What crap is this. Is it not enough that we payed some R500 for the game and then thbey have the balls to sell the extras (which were supposed to be in the game in the first place) for 1/5 of the price

The selections in Carbon were gay anyway. With most cars only one or two as (autoscult) or bk's had the effect of NOT making it look like pure carbage

You are quite negative with regards to this game. sad.gif And if you paid R500 for the game you were ripped off. sad.gif

I for one am actually glad it has gone the route of track racing. smile.gif Also the fact that if you damage your car means you are buggered, really appeals to me. Now you'll see who can really drive. smile.gif

Free roam driving was boring as all hell, and driving around to find a new race was kinda boring too. This is not to say I will miss the odd cop chase etc.... but they too got boring. Oh yayness, another cop in the pursuit. w00tage!
