Hi. I just managed to get Internet Explorer 7 and its bad. It doesn't have any protection and my computer keeps on getting viruses. People say it better on Vista but I have XP. When you want to get back to Internet Explorer 6 you are not allowed to downgrade. I don't like Internet Explorer 7 so does anybody know how to downgrade Internet Explorer 7?

As for downgrading, I'm sorry but I cant help! However, I think I can with the viruses...
I don't think the internet explorer has anything to do with you getting viruses, it would probably be the files that you are downloading from the net, or that you don't have a firewall enabled.
Now you say you have XP, so all you need to do is use windows update, so that you have Service Pack 2 (SP2), from there, you can open your connection properties (double click the icon in the task bar, click on properties) then choose the advanced tab, from there you can configure your firewall, which will stop bad stuff being sent to you.
If you are downloading files from programs like Ares/kazaa/whatever that could be a really bad source of viruses. I would advise getting an anti virus program if don't already have one (free at http://free.grisoft.com/) and make sure that you scan all of the files you download before you open them.

Ha. All the virus blocked and cleared. Then I guess I better use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Thanks

I am also having problems with IE7. It crashed constantly.
But since I installed Firefox I really haven't looked back.
I've submitted hundreds of error reports through Vista's Problems and Solutions application.
No fixes yet though...

Opera is as, if not worse, than netscape.
I cant see how it could be better than firefox in any manner or form
1. no multi tab 2. no plugin 3. does not conform to w3c standards 4. is just shit 5. battles successfully blocking popups 6. doesnt render CSS properely 7. see no. 4
the listof reasons are endless

Yeah Firefox rocks my world. Only problem with it is it huge memory usage. It can be so much that your entire OS just crawls. Otherwise its a kick-arse piece of software.
Opera is much faster than Firefox, especially when you open up multiple tabs. It does mess up the layout of sites sometimes, buts very very rarely. I also like the fact that the when I close Opera and then reopen it, the pages I was last viewing is remembered!

From my point of view, each product has it's good point and bad points. Opera is faster while Firefox is more secure
