I don't have much in the way of expertise in this and as far as equipment is concerned the most i can get is a laser printer and a Vinyl Cutter.
So can anyone give me some help on how to decorate my machine realtively easily without spending too much money!!!
Cheers

that's 1 fugly case...
what you expect to decorate that case with? flowers? do you have a design pattern? what about organsing a pattern and have it lazer cut with some neon blue or red lights

Well I suppose the advantage of a plain case is that there's a lot you can do with it without making it look too busy or cluttered.
Personally I prefer the plain brushed metal look, since I don't want my case looking like a Christmas tree, but simply adding a window or a decal can pimp out a case nicely.
Considering your options I'd get a cool vinyl cut, which would be easy to remove should you want to change it (a big advantage over paint). Other than that I'm sure you can get hold of a jigsaw to cut a simple side window, and then it's easy to add lighting, UV cabling, etc.
It's best to decide on one colour scheme though before you start: there's nothing worse than 17 different colours in one case.

Lol @ Rust & Fishfly!
I was talking to a mate of mine and he suggested using sticky backed plastic and paper? Not sure if he was joking about it or not! - But if it will work, its a dead cheap method for sure
Well what i am planning is to do a large vinyl cut out of the Linkin Park "Hybrid Soldier" and stick it on the side It's gonna have to wait till the summer hols end before i can get my hands on the schools vinyl cutter again!
Also what do you mean by lazer cut

lol rust I thnk our lazer idea is beyond renegades price
I've more or less chosen to get a Vinyl Cutter to make me some stickers and then stick them on the side of the box, and add a few neon lights to spice it up a bit!
Does the sticky back plastic thing work?
