Amongst my many obsessions is Tolkien and his works. I have read all the books, own the movies (legitimately even) and was waiting for this game. Supposed to be available tomorrow, or today whichever way you look at it, the 24th. But now, apparently BT Games have announced a delay, it's only available on the 7th June.
What are your guys thoughts on it as an mmo though? Is it the sort of one you would be interested in or not, and why?

The preorder price through btgames is R365. The minimum specs apparently are :- PIII 1.6GHz or equivalent, 256MB RAM, 3.5GB HD space, 64MB DirectX 9.0c video card
Nothing too hectic in terms of the machine needed, although that's minimum, not sure what the recommended spec is

Well, I did post the link to the official site in my second post, but click here. It's only the good races, elves, hobbits, dwarves and men. Then the obligatory classes like captain, champion and so on, the site's got it all, alternatively, click here. Sorry I am not very detailed, but I'm tired, my back is stiff and my right arm is cramping following several hours of uninterrupted pool games. Well, one interruption, relic got lucky

anyhow I was looking at this game pity I have R20 left for the month
wonder if it'll be any good. Do you also have to pay like WOW? if so then this game isn't for me.

I played it, loved it, for a while. I got snowed under with work at one point, didn't play it for two weeks and never went back to it. I was getting bored with it anyway. The same happened to me with Wow and GW (and GW in less than an hour iirc) so me getting bored doesn't mean much.
It's a damn nice game, one of the better MMO's I played. The crafting and professions system is nicely thought out, the character classes are/were well balanced and it's generally a lot of fun. Worth the download
