Normally a priest or a pastor is one who people can turn to for advice on all sorts of morality subjects.

Not withstanding the fact that the majority of the people that voted or that do vote are uneducated and land up making an uneducated guess as to who or what to vote for.
A chap i work with pointed out the following to me andit makes a hell of a lot of sense in that only holders of at least a matric certificate or higher should be allowed to vote.
If you have a look at the general voting audience, the majority of the educated people do not vote because they realize that their votes are wasted, those that do vote fall into a class of people that is wholly uneducated.

Stupidity in numbers seems to be a very powerful thing.
And the problem stems from what is being taught to the masses, even at elementry school levels.
Voting people into power has nothing to do with allegiance, yet people seem to vote based on creed or colour or what is owed to them, when voting should be based on making a descision for choosing for who you think are the best people to accomplish a job, and that job is the progression of our country.
Again I reitterate, the largest group of voters are mostly uneducated and when it comes to making a descision about choosing who you want to decide factors such as medical, financial, infrastructure and other problems, who do you want to be making those choices?
Would you like those descision to be made by laywers, doctors, professors

While I am in no way knocking down the 'uneducated' working class, my argument does contain merit, and I would be the first to concede my right to vote if left up to more capable people.
In any organization, say, a company like Coca-Cola, or Dell or Microsoft, take your pick.
The people on the ground have no say in how the company gets run, that is best left to a panel of executives that make descisions on the future of the company and how to turn a better profit etc
In return, the ground force (factory workers, delivery people, cleaners and even middle and lower management etc) are secured with a job and performance based wage increases and bonuses.
Now imagine that a company like Coke allowed its ground force to have a final say over who gets to run the company, would they vote on merit? popularity? or capability?
Alot of the times, the people that make the best decisions are people we don't like, such as your boss, line manager or CEO. Yet without them we wouldn't have much.
So people don't vote for the best person for the job, they tend to vote for people that they "like"
