It scores 90% but "loads of game crashes" and "gets boring after 2 hours?" ermm.gif

I've been going for a good few hours now and I'm still enjoying it: the story progresses slowly at first but does get better, and it's always cool to get new units with progressive missions.

Have you tried the latest patch? I haven't had a single crash yet with the current one (can't remember which version it is). Also, what video card/drivers are you running?
FireStorm
Don't forget to mention the cheesy dialogue in the cut scenes. They've got some fairly big name actors, but a kak script. Good thing the gameplay is good. I have to agree with it getting boring after a while. The wife and I play against the AI (I'm not allowed to play against her) and they rush you, but then the game fizzles out after a while. Single player is great though, and it forces you to play with a variety of units, most of the time. I give it a 9/10 for a CnC game, but only a 7.5 for generic RTS.
RustPuppet
Those cheesy cutscenes are a prerequisite for a proper C&C: they're done in that specific style to stay true to the original few games in the series.

I reckon it's the best RTS out at the moment though, so I'll probably play it through until something bigger comes along.
Carrots
It is the RTS I've enjoyed the most in single player for a very long time. I kinda like the cut scenes.

Fishfly
been playing this game for a bit but I have it patched to 1.04 so bugs I haven't seen much... what I can say is some missions are BLOODY hard while some are TOOO easy sad.gif

The look and feel is so primitive i.e it looks like the first C&C or Dune2 only with tabs and 3D. The Human acting is rather shitty as everyone is reading off a board while filming is taking place sad.gif there's no actual human feeling to these reciters sad.gif

RustPuppet
Again, they did the cutscenes like that specifically to continue the feel from the previous games.

I seriously doubt they'd do it due to lack of time/budget, considering how long/much it took to get the game out tongue.gif

Question, anyone who tried it on X360? I know that the controls will be the problem (if they are) but I am just too lazy these days to sit behind my pc and play games sad.gif
LegendofMax

Ten to one you will find people who will actually woop your ass despite using a console controller, it is all about practice / getting used too it. That said, mouse + keyboard > *
