Hey V9

I was just wondering when you hopen it up fo new Mods / Admins to come up and shoulder some responsibility. Do you have a system like every 6 / 12 / 18 months or is it really just a as when needed type of thing.

In eiher case do you have any idea on when the next mod / admin thing will be (if ever )

Not that i intend to run 4 it - i was just womdering so that my lelve of understanding of the V9 sytem can be improved

From what I have seen in the past, it is also dependent on board activity, so get more of your friends over here if you wanna have a chance at getting a promotion.

we monitor all members, including noting how some people are prone to making less than useful posts on a consistent basis.

LoM, there is a lot that you don't get to see. Spam is monitored. It is not like we go and delete all posts that are not on topic, but there are a certain amount of posts that you just never get to see.

As mentioned above, we have enough mods to 'shoulder the responsibility'

CyberStorm, to be honest I did see you as 'CyberSpam' for a while, but your posting has improved as you've grown accustomed to the board. There are still the occasional comments as shown above, but let this be something to learn from rather than have an argument over. No one's pointing the finger directly at you.

Renegade, I'm honestly tired of you assuming you know how to run the forum. Your suggestions are more than welcome but remember you are still new here, and constantly telling the staff how to behave isn't going to win you many points (or 'open you up to be a mod/admin').

Any more off-topic spammage and this thread gets locked.

I'm not sure about before, But since i have been here i think Cyberstorm has been a good poster and if he makes the occasiaonal SPAM post - so what. No-one is perfect and we all every now and then post a few posts that would be classified as SPAM. I wouldn' call him a fully blow spammer though.

Nobody was singling out anybody. CyberStorm asked for proof, and Paul gave it. Finitto! Kapish. If I had asked for proof, Paul would have put posts from me in his reply. Simple as that.

erm. Just to clarify, those were made back in 2004. I was looking for the original thread but couldn't find it. I therefore assumed it was deleted, so I re-posted! Not outright spam, but a deliberate mistake. If anything, the second instance should have deleted!!



Nukes is just trying to be a better V9 member. Cut him some slack. He is one of the most active members on this board and comments and suggestions should be encouraged.

At the end of the day, we all bat for the same team and just want a better V9!!

Guys I think you are taking this a tad too far, yes there are spam posts but lets face it we all do it, I know I do when I'm not in the mood to post long responses. but too much of one thing is not right so try keep your posts clean and clear and right to the point.

As for becoming a mod/admin it may take years it may take a few months. It's not about who can get more people to come post in the Vault. This forum is about the community, it was create for the community - yes it may have changed a lot and people come and go but we do welcome constructive critism.

Certain members were voted in as new admins while others have modding rights due to their inputs and they way they handle things. Being admin/mod isn't about status it's about responsibility. There's nothing gained from being a mod but the chance to help make the forum a better place.

In fact I am closing this so we don't go over this again and again. We all spam from time to time. I think that most of the people active now, don't spam continuously, so it shouldn't be made into something it isn't.
