What are you ganna use the camera for? For pro work or just for common use?
I have aCannon Powershot A95, its pretty all rounded and give good quality 5mgp picyures
Fishfly
oh well just general things take a pic here there, and everywhere biggrin.gif

I'm also looking at the Sony T100

but looks like the Canon is very naais with the 10mega pixel

New or 2nd hand? I see a badass one for sale on Prophecy forums.

I dont know anything about those models, but MEGAPIXELS HAS PRO'S AND CONS!!!

Especially for a small pocket cam I think 10MP will be more of a hindrance.

Each MP is a separate cell on the camera, and receives the light. The smaller it is, the less light it can pick up, and the more the signal has to be amplified. This leads to "noise" in an image.

300dpi is considered great. 150 dpi will need very close inspection to notice any loss of quality. With my 5MP I can easily print 150dpi A4 photo's.

Ok, so with my rant about excessively high MP's over, you can have a look at www.dpreview.com and www.steves-digicams.com for reviews. Both have more tests than you will ever need.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canonsd900/ - review of the canon. It apparently has great image quality for its class.
Mr. Magic Matrix
I reckon 6 Mp is all you need for a camera
Fishfly
Nah the main reason why I want to get a 10MP and decent camera now is so that I don't have to worry about my camera being outdated 2-3 years down the line biggrin.gif

If your going to spend this kind of money on a camera, I would
Spend a little more and get a Nikon D-70.
Its 6 Mega Pixel AFECTIVE! When buying a camera they never tell you
What the Affective Mega Pixel is. With cheaper CCD imagers pixels interfere
With each other. When 1 pixel interferes with an other then your have 4 pixels
Acting as one. So if you have a 10 mp you’re really getting 2.5 mega pixel performances.
This isn’t the case with Digital SLRs.

Hi emucade could you please eloborate more on this Affective Mega Pixel?
