Whatever happened to the Landis win last year? Was the title taken away and given to someone else?

I think they are still waiting to hear what the outcome of his appeal is before deciding who gets the win.

QUOTE
The French Anti-Doping Agency announced they had postponed their disciplinary action against Tour de France winner Floyd Landis scheduled for Thursday.
The agency also announced that Landis has said he will not defend his title in this year's Tour de France.
Looks like the title is still his... for now....

Not suprising they get caught for doping, most of them are kept on the limit of getting caught.
I read that they are freezing a sample of Lance's urine for re-testing in 10 years because they think only then they will be able to pick up what he was using, unfortunately the drugs are always one step ahead of the medical testing.

Landis has been requested not to take part in this year's tour.
I was taking a look at the stats of other sports's rates of doping. In the end cycling is only slightly above other sports when it comes to guys caught doping. In cycling there is just such an issue made of it. And I suppose it doesn't help that the guy who wins it is under investigation.

Read Armstrongs autobiography, the amount of drug testing he had to go through was crazy. he is the most tested athlete in history
Not saying he is innocent or clean though, but I would like to believe he is. Quite an inspiration

That is quite amazing.
I reckon this years race could be a very good one. Lots of young riders and of course a guarantee of a new winner. All to ride for.
