hi,
I would like to know whether I can use Delphi 7.0 along with Firebird 2.0.
Second question is that can Firebird 2.0 open databases of older versions of Interbase?
Thx
what exactly is delphi i have head of it before.
you should be able to open old databases of older versions of interbase. i do not see why not.. if infact firebird 2.0 is newer than the older one you should be able to use those older files.. i would asume they would not change the format in which the files are in.
yes, yes, yes. Remember that firebird is the followup from where interbase has left off. all that is found in interbase is there in firebird with lots more improvements. so it is said. i had a look at it and find that it is safe to stay on interbase for a while longer untill there is resonable proof of better stability on firebird. anyone talking firebird would talk the same language in interbase. its just changed its name.
