I was playing around and installing Nvidia drivers for my Ubuntu 6.06 install.
Anyway, after a reboot I didnt have my lovely desktop. Just greeted with the terminal.

How can I "default" back to the generic video driver or is there another way of getting my Ubuntu to work?

AMD 64 3000+
Sparkle 6600 GT
512 MBs RAM

Thanks

Try this.

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
