So here it is, I've been in a situation at work and started bloging about it. In doing so I've started learning about blog linking and RSS and places like BlogMad and Blogexplosion. I've learned a great deal of HTML as well as I’ve tried using My Space as a way of increasing traffic and read some html tutorials to help enhance the blog and the My Space page. This has all really been just an experiment while I'm pissing away my time at work.

I would really like some feed back on not only how the blog looks (it's a blogspot template so don't crucify me.) but also what other ways i can help myself generate traffic.

It's a great topic that just about anyone can relate to, so that's something you definitely have going for you!

To be honest, I'm not thrilled about the design though...

The colors in the header/sub-header seem to clash to me, and I've never been a fan of the "Blogger look". I'm not sure, but I believe their layouts are pretty easily customizable if you know what you're doing. I'd look into possibly getting a custom layout, as it gives your blog a unique identity within the blogosphere.

Great concept, "eh" design. Blunt, but to the point, and still constructive

I think your right in saying the "blogger" look is not all that appealing due to the saturation of that look due to first timers, i.e. ME, and their inability to update and make a blog look good. I am going to fiddle with it over the next few days and weeks and once I have something that I think looks decent I'll put the update on here.

I did sign up with “exlinks” a while ago but, not sure why? I entered my e-mail and "registered” though I did not receive a confirmation and quite frankly not sure what this is going to do for me or more to the point when it is going to happen, like I said I signed up a while ago, over a month now. Thoughts?

Interesting blog, the concept is great but the template is it reminds me of the Texaco gas company, it's the star! There are lots of free templates out there for blogger check them out. Otherwise I look forward to seeing how this all plays out I wise you luck and keep us posted.

Ok, so I've updated the template and added some of my own tweaks, blog buttons, and blog roll. I almost feel like because I want to try everything I've added too much. Additional thoughts?

I am getting better at HTML because of all this. At least there is an upside.

Where "Countdown To My Own Demise" is a lesson in HTML, I'm trying to use "ifioti" as a lesson in daily readers, reoccurring readers and overall daily hits. So far I'm averaging 50-60 hits per day. With over 200 yesterday alone thanks to Netscape and Reddit.com

One last thing, can someone explain where I can get the "Exlinks" buttons and when it is supposed to launch?

I think something might be wrong @ blogspot...I got an error.

It's a nice design but I'd suggest you lose lots of the graphics, as to be frank, they are unnecessary.

I would also lose widgets like Blogrrr.

This makes your blog look more professional and makes it quicker to load
