Just a question to everyone here - does anyone here do some sort of mixing / djing? I'd love to know if you have some sets to share or some experience to give out. It's been a bit dry here but change is needed..

Liking it a lot!

Its a great set, but forgive my ignorance please! Where would you use something like this? I mean if it was for a live DJ'ing gig wouldn't you be doing it in situ ?

cyfermaster
You could use it if you having a house party, and don't want to pay for a DJ etc...
FatBoy
I would love to get into this sorta thing one day. Have always wanted to but never actually tried... Odd yes I know lol
cyfermaster
Not odd. There are loads of things that I have wanted to try, but just haven't. There so many things that come into play. However, this isn't one of them. I do like listening to other peoples work though. smile.gif

It's fairly easy, you don't even need a set of decks to get into it. I use ableton live. You can get it here: http://www.ableton.com

It takes a while to get into this but the uses are limitless.
Gitano
Sweet, Maybe I give it a go as well, just to see what the hell its all about!
plutonium
You should let me know if you need some help. I have some experience with it....

Fudzy
Linky no worky sad.gif

I'm looking for software to mix sets as in go from one song to another with beat matching/recording etc. There used to be software called Atomixmp3 back in the day but I'm sure there's better stuff out there now.
plutonium
If you have a multichannel sound card you can use ableton for beatmatching etc.

The methods are different from your usual dj software but it works better than most.

Fudzy, the link works fine for me...
plutonium
Link removed, will upload tonight. For some reason the ftp server kept resetting the file transfer.

Enjoy.
