Hmmm...Which ever way you look at it, animals have contributed greatly to our research.
I dont think animal testing is right, but my opinion matters not to the researchers and drug company's of the world!
Most drugs, cosmetics, food products and chemicals were at some stage tested on animals to determine if they were safe for human consumption.
We have reached the point we are at today, because of animal testing! That fact is unquestionable.
I think this will continue and nothing is going to stop it - especially if it means benefits for man!

while I voted yes, because animals have greatly assisted in testing, I reckon we should test on prisoners imprisoned for life.

And for the stuff they really worried about, they should use those on the death penalty. (america)

well I for one would like to know, those companies that say that they dont test on animals, how exactly are they testing? on themselves?

Is there such a thing as humane testing? Can you test a drug on an animal in a humane manner? Humane being a quick death perhaps. I voted yes as well, but I don't condone the abuse of animals in a cruel manner (if thats what the testing includes).
I'm not vegetarian either.

I stand firmly against animal testing as for most drugs thousands of poor animals go through 5 years of pure torture, just for the benefit of man. We should treat animals with the same respect that we reserve for humans as we are animals as well - after all
Anyway in summary. NO!!!!!!!!!1
I'm also a Vegan, which more or less explains my stance

Hopefully on people on death row, or those serving a life sentence. I firmly believe that is what criminals should be used for. Testing.

Finally a solution to solve our over crowded prisons, however it could cause hospital overcrowding (which we can solve later)

I say w/e... animals are animals, and as long as it isn't inhumane it's all good... but I like the idea of testing things out on prisoners (for life), but imagine we test "Super strength" on an inmate and he fucks the whole place up!

That's what I was going to say too.
If you want to see how drugs affect humans - test on humans.

They should test women's cosmetics on life sentence prisoners.
This way Bubba and co. won't feel as gay when pack-raping new inmates.

I think testing on prisoners is still a great idea.
It's not like lifers have anything better to do.

I 10,000% agree with you.
animals should not be tested and torturedendlessly for us to have a drug that wil 'temporarely' take a headache away [for a short time].
i am also a vegetarian and i refuse to use any type or form of drug. animals should be treated just as equaly, if not more importantly than us; without animals, or bugs, we would die.
we need to love animals, and we weren't put on this earth to torture them just so that we can live a little longer.

i agree, but we still have to look at the other side as well. part of the reason we are still here is because we had lifesaving medicines tested on animals. i still think it is wrong, but they do have a point to do it.
