Stunning SA model Minki van der Westhuizen is ready to tie the knot.
Stellenbosch businessman Constant Visser proposed to her on Monday evening in a little Italian town, and she accepted.
Visser's sister Colene Rabie, who is married to Ferdinand Rabie of Big Brother fame, said her brother had popped the question to Minki in romantic San Gimignano, Italy.
"They were in Rome the next day, and they're returning home next Monday," she said.
She said her brother was delighted and "I couldn't have asked for a nicer sister-in-law."
Did Minki suspect anything? Apparently, they talked about the big step, "but I don't think she suspected that he was going to ask her to marry him," Rabie said.
"It's still a bit early to talk about the big day, though," she added.
Van der Westhuizen and Visser have known each other for three years and have been going out for four months.
Formerly, Minki was romantically linked to South African cricket captain, Graeme Smith and the singer Pieter Smith.
