So, did an actual UFO really crash over in Roswell back in the 40s?
Do people actually get abducted by UFOs and get all sorts of items shoved up their noses and asses by aliens?
Do aliens actually make some of those crop circles we hear about from time to time?
Is Jacob Zuma the product of Alien experiments with humans?
Personally, I think that the universe is too vast for this little blue orb we call the Earth to be the only place where intelligent life exists. What aliens exist out there? I dunno, but I hope that we will never face an Independence Day scenario where they come and have a free-for-all against our low-grade weapons (well, low-grade when compared to what they probably have on their side, seeing as how they are so far ahead with their technology).

I don't believe in Roswell or abductions, simply because I seriously doubt alien life has visited earth YET, but nevertheless I am pretty confident alien life exists as it is highly probable considering the vastness of the universe.

I agree, we cant be the only life in the unknown universe, I also believe that there is "Intellegent" life out there, but nowhere near human intellect. If they are more intellegent that us, they would have made contact/appearance by now.... If anything, the aliens should be like the stone age or they might look exactly like us humans, but live in a different era.

Life on earth could have been started from bacteria from somewhere else in the galaxy. Therefore we are aliens.
I dont believe aliens came to earth to stick probes in our asses. The Universe is far to large to say nothing else exists.

There must be other life out in the galaxy. Whether _they_ look like us, or talk like us, or behave like us etc is debatable, but seriously, if they have the technology to get here, they wouldnt shove some probe up your naught to check if your different. Hell, even we can check how someone is doing without invading their naught.
But yes, i do think Aliens exist, and i do believe that Roswell occurred those years ago, there is just to much evidence to suggest otherwise

As I said in another thread recently:
1) It is arrogant to assume there is no other form of intelligent life out there, assuming the universe is as big as we currently estimate
2) The chances of there being another planet even remotely similar to ours with lifeforms even remotely similar to us is almost zero
3) The human race will not survive long enough to venture out far enough to give us even a remote chance of finding other intelligent life
4) Judging by how stupid the majority of humans are (i.e. destroying our own environment, killing each other, etc.), I seriously doubt any 'intelligent' life would bother with us anyway, even if they did manage to get out this far
5) If they did get out this far, Rush would scare them away

Why do you say that? Human technology/science has progressed pretty fast in the past two decades alone. We have cloned a sheep, amongst other stuff. Humans probably have been cloned already, albeit illegal. Look at the pace that computer technology has progressed as well.
Who knows, maybe sooner than we think, Einsteins theory of relativity will be proven, or disproven, beyond the shadow of any doubt.

But the Anal probe... that's highly unlikely

You just saying that because they did that too you and you don't want people to know that you enjoyed it.
I agree that there is some form of aliens out there. They may be smarter than us, and they may not be. Will we ever encounter them. Whose to say we haven't already....

I often wonder why governments spend so much money on exploring outer space when the deep regions under the sea havent even been explored adequately enough...
They should stop spending billions on projects that involve outer space travel or attempts to contact higher beings, if they knew what we were doing to destroy our planet they would definitely not want to contact idiots.
Do I believe they exist? Yes I do think so, but not necessarily in the conventional form that we expect or assume.

Do you have any idea of how far away another possibly inhabited planet would be? The human race will have usurped it's resources and killed itself off long before we get anywhere near advanced enough to travel that far.
Thus far we can't even visit most of the planets in our own solar system
CyberStorm
Jan 15 2007, 12:43 AM
We may be "primitive" in cosmic terms but we are advancing at an exponential rate. That cant be denied.
A simple example: Look back a century to the year 1907.
Had you been alive then would you have, in your wildest dreams, conceived the world we all live in today?
Things we all take for granted today, simply did not exist back then.
Would 1907's man believe that we'd one day go to the moon? I think not!
Likewise, many people today may not be able to fathom leaving earth and exploring deep space, but that day will come!!!
Again, the distance is just too great for us to travel. Bear in mind that it would take something like 2000 years for a radio message to even reach us from the location of the closest possible inhabited planet.

Aliens hgave to exist somewhere in the universe - maybe on mars, maybe not!
How is it that the Earth a tiny dot in the universe is the only place that can support life. When there are billions of other solar systems out there, i would assume that there are millions of different civilizations out there in the vastness of space

Shi-Shi ‘s question. “I often wonder why governments spend so much money on exploring outer space when the deep regions under the sea haven’t even been explored adequately enough...”
The answer. Because we can. It was once said in the early 30’s “if we do not go wear no one has gone before: we stagnate from our culture”.
Space exploration will ensure mankind’s survival. We are the only living organism on earth that can do this, That’s what makes us unique, that’s what makes us human.

Sure we have, we fight them every day. There known as the common cold. Now, the question is. Is there intelligent life? Yes, there is. There are more stars in the universe then there are grains of sand on every beach. If you add the numbers properly then you will find that it is impossible that were are the only intelligent life forms. And if you analyze these numbers you will also find that Now, in the past or in the future there is, has or will be a life form that looks just like us. Its in the numbers. But these numbers also make it impossible for other life forms to find us. We will never make contact. it takes light 150.000 years to travel from one side of our galaxy to the other.

My question is, if Aliens did NOT exist, why was the wreckage from Rosswell classified for DECADES before becoming public knowledge.
I still reckon that something BIG went down in Roswell back in the 40s. Just wish the US government would come clean about the whole thing already.

Ok well if ur thinking on terms of contacting, then we have heard 1 known signal from space, it was very weak and pickup in the 1990s. Earth sends signals every second. Radio & microwaves travel through the earth's atmosphere and keep moving through space. So if there are any nearby intelligent life they will pickup the signals. But the closest solar system/star is about 50 light years away meaning it will take 50 years to get there, and since humans started sending signal around 1930s aliens should have received it in the 1970/80s. Even now they might have sent a signal back but it will also take 50 years to get to earth.
So if people want to make contact, wait till 2020/30, if we are lucky we might get a hello
