If I was looking to set up a small/medium sized site, like a blog or something, what would you recomend?
How much do you guys think I should be looking at paying, and how much space and bandwidth am I really going to need?
Im not going to be streaming video or anything ridiculous, so conservative estimates please!!
For example, something like what Doctermoo has, very nice. themoo.za.net
Thanks guys!

i host themoo on a reseller account that i have from ehostpros.
it's not the best option out there, rush would probably be able to organise you something 10^10 times better for a fraction of what i pay for what i get.

having your own domains also allows you to create a brand depending on your website and maybe even make money from that brand.

How will they be able to maintain the free hosting etc... if they don't have any advertising. You very picky. If you don't want advertising, then pay.

If you don't want to pay you aren't going to get a scam free site without adverts. It will ahve a catch somewhere.
Your best of going for a sub domain with textlink if you want something for free
This is an excellent site for searching through providers
You could use this to search for a site that fits your criteria and then well happy webbing

Hi,
Firstly, be sure to register the domain name yourself rather than through a web host - the reason being legal ownership. Use a web host for web hosting and a domain registrar for registering domains

Hi,
Yeah .coms are approximately 8 USD per year from GoDaddy.
Good luck!

In one thread you say your site is already on google, and in another you say you haven't made it yet. So you are talking rubbish in other words? What gives?
