You can find a list of the security vulnerabilities for each of the Firefox versions Here. The list also details security fixes for Thunderbird (email client), SeaMonkey (internet application suite) SeaMonkey. Has anybody ever used SeaMonkey? Must admit I haven't.
Sheesh, ran the update from within FF and its a 7MB download. Would've been nice to see a few graphic tweaks or something for the size of the download.

Haha! Yes, I do! I definitely recommend Firefox, its the best browser available in my small, little humble opinion.
It take a small amount of getting used to if you have used IE your entire life, but after a week, you wont ever want to go back!

Yes. It's faster and better but when you open lots of tabs it gets slower.
Gitano
Jul 26 2007, 10:48 AM
Obviously opening lots of tabs is going to make everything slower, because its not like you are viewing one webpage. The more webpages you are viewing, the more information needs to be transmitted over your internet connection, so it doesn't matter if you have many open in tabs, or you have many explorers open at once, you are still trying to view loads of webpages at once, and so all of that info needs to get to you through your connection, hence... sloooooower.....

Well I have to read this forum so I open tabs so once I finish reading a topic I cold just close the ab instead of clicking the back button
Gitano
Jul 26 2007, 10:56 AM
Well normally if you open a new tab to look at a topic of a post, you wont be able to click the 'back' button, because that topic that you are looking at is the first page you have viewed in that tab. So yes, you would have to close the tab, or click on a new link.

Yes. But if you don't open a tab and just click the link you can click back and go back. Correct?

Correct

just remember that having a trillion tabs open will eventually cause the demise of your computer.
each tab is essentially another instance of the browser, so 5 tabs is like having the application open 5 times. a cache is also kept on each tab to try make browsing faster. so more tabs means more memory required and the longer you keep the browser open with more and more tabs, the quicker it will become a memory whore requiring you to kill it off and restart it again.
also, the Zend php IDE and Firefox is not a good combo to leave running together for too long they both are memory hogs

That's what happened when I first came. I open a million tabs because I wanted to read everything. Then the computer crash.

In Firefox you can bookmark several open tabbed pages as a single bookmark. The next time you use that bookmark, all the pages will open in separate tabs at the same time. Thats coolllll

Yeah it is pretty cool. I have my homepage set to these forums and my gmail account, so whenever I open the browser, both open together.
