Here is an interview with legendary producer, Joel Silver, concerning the Matrix sequels...
Apparently, we get a glimpse of the third movie at the end of the 2nd one...

In the states, they are selling a special edition 2 DVD set of The Matrix, and included in this special edition are tickets to the up and coming Matrix sequel... I wonder if they will be doing the same over here...

QUOTE
The Matrix DVD will include a mail-in movie ticket offer for the sequel, which must be received by June 6, 2003. This offer will be included in the single DVD as well as the two-pack. Additionally, it will include a $5 mail-in rebate for \"The Animatrix\" DVD, releasing June 3 from Warner Home Video. A $3 mail-in rebate for The Matrix DVD will also be included inside the \"Enter the Matrix\" video game.

Winner of four Academy Awards®, The Matrix has sold more than 15 million DVDs worldwide since its release. Among its many milestones, the film was the first DVD to break the 1 million unit sales mark and has ranked as one of the top 100 selling DVDs for more than 170 weeks since its initial release date.

Anyways, the offifial word is that nobody has been cast yet.
You can read about the "nominess" over here,.

Right, we are not too far away from the filming of the next Star Wars saga.
News about the rebuiling of classic locations can be found over here.

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz might not be in the third Mummy movie. Apprently, this will be because Imhotep will awaken in modern times.
I wonder if this is good or bad. Good, since it might be a bit boring to see shit happen in the same era over and over again. Bad, cause Rachel Weisz is so damn cute! ^_^
At least local boy Arnold Vosloo will still feature.

Apparently, the budget for Starship Troopers 2 will be kept low... WTF are these Hollywood boneheads thinking? Well, perhaps there is still hope for the movie...
QUOTE
\"This installment of Starship is being kept low budget for an excellent reason; to provide a comfort level for Sony so that they will hire Phil Tippett as the director. Phil and I have worked together off and on since Dante's \"Piranha\". He sculpted the title character, ran the fish factory, executed many of the effects on location and was an all around great guy. Over the years we've tried to work together as a producer/director team but I've never been able to make that happen until now. The key was the low budget. Sony is getting a huge bargain on the visual effects in exchange for allowing Phil to helm the film. We will also need lots of help from the talented folks in Phil's shop to make it happen and be visually exciting. It really has to be a labor of love to pull it off for next to no money.\"

And then, Hayden Christensen, from Star Wars Episode 2 fame, is yet another rumoured Superman... I wish Warner Brothers would just cast somebody already!

Heh, apprently somebody has scored a "Freddy VS Jason" callsheet.
What is a callsheet? Well, I also found out today only. It basically explains what will happen on a day's shooting.

It concernes the LOTR: ROTK trailer...
QUOTE
I was at a Halloween costume & party convention over the weekend in Chicago, and in one of the booths, selling lotr costumes and accessories, the guy running the booth had a copy of the ROTK trailer. I don't know where he got it -- I didn't ask and he didn't say, but let me tell you ... it was AWESOME!!! ... Narsil was reforged, Eomer wept with Theoden in his arms on the pelennor fields, pippin lunged and pulled faramir off the funeral pyre, sam went after something (shelob assuredly, but they showed nothing of her) with the phial of galadriel, grima drew a dagger and leapt at someone .... those were just the highlights ... i'll attempt to go through it shot for shot as best i can remember .... it opened with armies charging across plains, then cut to gandalf in theoden's hall at edoras telling aragorn, gimli, and legolas that they are running out of time ... oh hell, i don't remember the exact order now, but they do show the halls of the dead (a bunch of skulls lying on the floor in a dungeon looking set), they show aragorn riding at the head of an army with the white tree emblazened on his breast plate, they show eowyn and faramir in the garden in gondor embracing, sam crying out to frodo that \"can't you see? He's betrayed us!\", but the coolest thing of all is SAURON COMES BACK IN PHYSICAL FORM ... unless it was some weird flashback, which I doubt, in the final battle before the black gates, Sauron is back, decked out in the same armor he was wearing in the flashback sequence in FOTR, and he goes after Aragorn -- so it would seem ... Sauron is bashing his way through, they cut to Aragorn fighting off a bunch of orcs, they cut back to a shot of Sauron, and they cut to a shot of Legolas, shouting Aragorn's name, as if to say, \"Hey Aragorn, look out, there's a huge %$^#$^&^ with a mace about to pound your skull in!\" .... all in all, the trailer was about two minutes long and showed a lot -- but my memory isn't what it used to be ... just thought I'd let you all know that there is complete ROTK in circulation ... again, I have no idea where this guy got it, but I'm kicking myself now for not giving him like twenty bucks, and asking him to dub a copy and mail it to me .... if I can sort out anymore of it in my muddled mind, I will let you know ... but for now, call me Mr. Sieve ...

On the side note... Should I continue with these movie updates, or should I give these snippets the axe?

Nick Stahl and Claire Danes run into a large warehouse filled with usual \"chase debris\" (things that can be blown up later). They try to open a large blast door -- John starts to hack it with his little laptop. The wall at the far end explodes -- the T-X flies a chopper through the wall and crash-lands. She starts walking towards them, when Arnold crashes a BIGGER chopper through the wall and lands on her. She emerges, her skin melted away with just her endo-skeleton showing. That initiates the Arnold/T-X fight. I have to mention my disappointment with Arnold's end line... \"You're terminated!\"

Wanna know how LOTR: Return Of The King ends? Go here then... I dunno if it does really reveal the ending, and I don't want to find out until the moment that I see it on the big screen in December this year. ^_^

Latest news on Spiderman 2 is that Tobey Maguire might not return to star in the sequel, which is supposed to begin shooting in April. Some say that it is due to physical problems, while others say that it has to do with money.
His agent has denounced these rumours (or so they say he did), and said that Tobey just has mild back problems, which are healing up nicely, so he should be ready for Spiderman 2 by the time they start shooting the next film.

After the huge successs of Spiderman, I thought that Kirsten Dunst and Tobey were already signed up to star in the sequel...

Heres an interesting article on the upcoming Riddick films:
(The Sequels to Pitch Black and starring Vin Diesel)

QUOTE
Karl Urban (Eomer in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) has joined Vin Diesel in the upcoming SF film The Chronicles of Riddick, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Thandie Newton (Mission: Impossible 2) is in talks to join the cast for writer-director David Twohy, the trade paper added.

Radar Pictures and One Race Productions are producing the film for Universal Pictures. Production begins June 9 in Vancouver, B.C., with Judi Dench and Colm Feore also starring, the trade paper reported.

Riddick continues the adventures of Diesel's character, who was first introduced in Twohy's 2000 film Pitch Black. The second installment finds Riddick, now a hunted man, in the middle of two opposing forces in a major crusade, the trade paper reported.

Feore plays Lord Marshal, a warrior priest who is the leader of a sect that is waging the 10th and perhaps final crusade 500 years in the future. Dench portrays Aereon, an ambassador from the Elemental race, an ethereal being who helps Riddick unearth his origins. Urban will play Vaako, a military commander under Lord Marshal. Newton would play Dame Vaako, the trade paper reported.

Impressive that they bagged Judy Dench, considering that Pitch Black was a B-movie Horror aliens rip-off (I still loved it though)

Ever wondered why Vin Diesel didn't star in the follow-up to The Fast And The Furious, namely 2 Fast 2 Furious? Well the answers all lie over here.

Harrison Ford will not be doing any further projects until he is done with Indiana Jones 4. We will have to wait until 2004 for the production to start, but with Steven Spielberg filling the director's chair, I am sure that it will be worth it, unless if Speilberg is infected with that virus that caused him to spew out that travesty, AI.

Seth Green is also set to star in the Scooby Doo sequel. Yeah, I agree, so what?

It seems as though the rumours of the next James Bond film beginning production this year have been slammed down, primarily because there isn't even a script yet. More here.

It seems as though Steven Spielberg will not be directing Jurassic Park 4 (smart man). Apparently the "honour" has gone to Simon West, who has Con Air to his list of movies.

Ahh, The Matrix: Relaoded apparently has a running time of two hours and eighteen minutes. Now that is value for your money! w00t.gif I dont care how much the build-up of urine may be, I aint gonna leave my seat during that movie! More details (about the movie that is) over here.

Hmm... James Cameron is interested in helming Aliens 5, but he says that he will only is the Aliens vs Predator movie is abandoned. I would rather have AvP than Aliens 5, but read more over here in any case.

It seems as though there will be a Highlander 5 movie coming onto the production in the future. Apparently, this one will not star Christopher Lambert. Oh, and the title is set to be Highlander: The Source.

Well, I dunno about seeing Edward Furlong playing a dark character, like he plans to in The Crow 4. The funny thing is that he isn't even sure if that movie will make it to the big screen, or shoot straight to video, like its predecessor, The Crow: Salvation. More on Edward's toughing up sessions can be read over here.

A Spartacus miniseries will be made soon. What does this have to do with movies? Well, after the success of Galdiator, people were raving on that the Roman Epic era had returned, but still after all these years, there still has not been another Roman Epic. So, could Spartus on tv be a tesing of the waters? Well, perhaps, but I guess only time will tell.

More pics from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl can be found over here.

Rachel Weisz has stated that she would like to star in The Mummy 3, but that does not seem likely if you consider that Arnold Vosloo has said that the plans for the next film are to set the movie on contemporary times. Anyway, just to kill time, you can read Rachel's blabbering over here.

Read up a litte on a character in Scary Movie 3 over here.

Heh, remember Homey The Clown from that tv sjow, In Living Colour? Well, it seems as though Damon and Keenon Ivory Wayans are planning on bringin this character to life on the big screen this time. More here.

Can you believe that there are plans to make Street Fighter 2? Van Damme has never been one to do sequels, but ever since his movie career has taken a dive, he has been contemplating the idea of sequels more and more. The only sequel that I can recall him doing is Universal Soldier 2, which sucked some major ass. It does not seem as though Kylie Minogue will be in SF2, but it does seem as though Holly (bang bang) Valance will be replacing her role in the movie.

Carmen Elektra is set to star in the upcoming Starsky And Hutch. I hope that she shows her boobies! clap.gif Snoop Dogg is also set to star in the film. Read more over here.

It seems that we might be getting a look at The Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King when The Matrix: Reloaded is on the cinema circuit. That is what it seems like in the States, so it prolly will be the same over here.

It seems as though there are two movies to be made, based on serial killer, H. H. Holmes.
The Paramount version will be titled The Devil in the White City, based on Erik Larson's best-selling account of the case, and it will be produced my Tom Cruise's production house. The other version will be produced by Leonardo Di Craprio's production house. Those crazy Americans. tongue.gif

Dreamworks Studios has made some pretty darn good animated films thus far, and the next one set for release is Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas. It will star the voices of Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer and Joseph Fiennes.

Hmm, James Cameron has said that he will only do an Alien 5 film if he is given the right to make it really scary. He said that a PG-13 rating for an Alien film is not on. Well, if they do make it for mature audiences, then it can hopefully amke up for the travesty known as Alien: Ressurrection. Read more over here.

Hmm. In the seconds Superman movie, there is talk that clark Kent will return to the remains of planet Krypton. Read more over here.

It has been confirmed that Mark Steven Johnson, director of Daredevil, will be directing the upcoming Ghost Rider movie. No word on who is gonna play the hot-headed superhero, but Nicholas Cage's name is still at the top of the list it seems.

Another video game is going to see the silver screen it seems, this time, it will be Dead Or Alive. Also in the works are Resident Evil 2 and Driver.

The fourth Harry Potter might be made into two films as well, since pre-producion on the movie seems a bit long. More can be found over here.

ILM is set to release the Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD. There will be no new scenes and such added, but weak elements from the movies will be removed, and there will of course be a digital revamping of the films as well. Read more over here.

A Leprechaun 6 is close to release. What is cool is that in this one, Lp gets to smoke some weed. One can only imagine what shit he gets up to after that! laugh.gif More here.

Woo hoo! Anger Management is set for release this weekend! w00t.gif It is set to be a mega hit, and I can't wait for it to be released over here. As you can see, I am a major Adam Sandler fan!

Right, Vin Diesel's next movie, after he completes The Chronicles of Riddick, is set to be Dreadnaught. It is the story about a tough-assed captain and his commanding officer fighting a lot with each other - kind of like a David And Goliath kind of thing. This all takes place at sea, onboard the most sophisticated ship ever created. Yes, I am a Vin Diesel fan as well.

Another comic going to the big screen will be The Hands of Shang Chi. It is based on a comic book produced by comic powerhouse, Marvel Comics, and will probably feature flying kung-fu/Matrix style stunts.

Get the latest Matrix:Reloaded trailer over here.

It seems as though James Cameron and Ridley Scott might work together on the next Aliens 5. Cameron apparently will write and produce, while Scott drirects. Read more here.

Details on the storyline for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix can be found over here. SPOILER ALERT!!!

It seems as though Terminator 3 will also follow in the same light as The Matrix: Reloaed, and it will be featuring at The Cannes Film Festival. This might actually be good news, because Cannes was known for it's artsy fartsy films, yet we have sci-fi movies making appearances there, so hopefully, some day soon, we can see such movies betting awards beyond the visual effects/ best sound range. GAH! Why the HELL are they allowing wrestlers to act? Especially someone as disfigured and as grotesque as Chyna? (Whose acting sucks even by wrestling standards!)

Hehehe... I agree, they should at least get someone as hot as Tori Wilson to act, although her acting is even more fucked up than Chyna's, but throw in some nudity, and voila, who will even notice? w00t.gif Or they can juts do away with the wrestlers totally.

One of the spin-offs that will result from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines will be a video game. This will mark the first time ever that Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice and likeness have ever appeared in a game. Development on the game is set to be headed by Atari.

The \"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines\" videogame storyline will weave in and out of the movie script as players face enemies from the present in which the War of the Machines looms on the horizon, to the apocalyptic future where the War itself is waged on all fronts. While following the feature film's plot closely, \"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines\" will go one step further by providing fans of the Terminator series with a deeper look into the movie's universe and the role of the Terminator, a futuristic fighting machine reprogrammed to save humanity from the SkyNet holocaust.

More possible movie spin-offs in the form of games are the following:
Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat and [/b]2 Fast 2 Furious[/b]. There might even be a King Kong game made in conjunction with Peter Jackson's adaptation of the movie.

Gamit and The Beast will be making cameo appearances in the upcoming X-2 film. Should be cool to see Gambit throw those freaky cards around.

Hmm... Jackie Chan's "Around the World in 80 Days" is set to be a little more interesting than anticipated. John Cleese has agreed to make a cameo appearance, and now it has been confirmed that Arnold Schwarzenegger will also be doing a cameo (perhaps to make Jackie look good, since Arnold's acting is worse than Jackie's w00t.gif)

Eish! Now they are gonna remake The Abominable Snowman.

Mark Wahlberg is rumoured to be attached to the next Indiana Jones film.

And finally, G.I. Joe might be coming to the big screen as well.
