Any fans of the 2000 AD comic books who know and loved Rogue Trooper, the genetic infantry (GI) will love this game.

The GI units were created to be able to survive on the harsh surface of nuworld. Should a GI's body be damaged, he can live in the form of a biochip that is placed into various weapons and equipment of other GI.

The story follows 4 "souther" genetically enhanced soldiers who, along with their comrades are ambushed in an attack on their "nort" enemies.

The Southers were sold out by one of their own commanders and all of the GI were wiped out save for 4, although 3 of them, Helm, Bagman and Gunnar are biochips fitted into the Gun, Helmet and Rucksack of their full bodied comrade, Rogue after their bodies are killed by norts.

Rogue and the others embark on a solo mission to root out the traitor.

The game is awesome, the gameplay is great.

The 3 biochips each have their own functions, Helm detects nearby enemies, produces holograms of yourself to assist in confusing the enemy as well as hacks computer systems, Bagman researches and upgrades various weapons for you, all as attachments to Gunnar, ranging from anti aircraft missiles, Shotgun attachment, beam rifle, mini mines and more. Bagman also administers health injections and makes ammunition for your various weapons. You do not pick up ammo, instead you have to rely on salvaging parts from machinery, enemy soldiers and pillbox turrets. I suggest anyone wanting to play this game to salvage as much as you can.

Gunnar can also be detached to act as a sentry gun.

Gunnar also allows you to snipe which is a crucial part of this game.

The ragdoll effects in this game are also cool as well as your movements. You can dive while shooting and other neat tricks.

You can also fire blindly from cover which can save your ass.

The cutscenes and little clips help to tell more of the backstory which follows the comic storyline very well.

The other very impressive part of this game is the quakelike engine. Fast loading and not resource hungry.

overall a very cool game.
It wont win game of the year but will fill up a good few days of gaming.
